The Italian apparel company "Jesus Jeans" stirs the hornet's nest
After a long legal battle, the Italian apparel company "Jesus Jeans" won their patent to exclusively trademark the name "Jesus." In return they have now proceeded to go after any company, especially in America, that uses the name "Jesus" in their apparel line -- claiming "a matter of brand integrity," as the reason.

A prime example would be the lawsuit initiated against Virginia man Michael Anton, who owns the apparel line, "Jesus Surfed."

A recent article about the suit and Jesus Jeans is here: [link to www.cbc.ca]

My first thought... what the fudge!? My second thought, so what's going to happen to such lines like the heavily popular Christian community based band, Jesus Culture. That has music, reading material, and yea.... apparel up the ying-yang?
"Who shall I send, and who will go for us?' And I replied, 'Here am I. Send me..." For I have not given up on my country, so may my country not give up on me. semper fucking fi.

Haha, no kidding. Sad to think that freedom (or lack there of) of expression in one's faith and belief can be restricted and all boiled down to a pair of jeans. And all in the name of capitalism, no less.

Spirituality yes, religion NO. Its great the faith if needed but dogma corrupts it and money taints what it touches.

The age old truth about religion. Agreed.
