BAD PARENTING! Sounds like my childhood exactly. I would be young ( far to young to rationalize what i was doing was upsetting the social order), so the typical line i received was "If you dont stop ill put you in the car until im done". |

BAD PARENTING! Balderdash. I do not believe 84% of parents do ANYTHING to make the children behave, at least 50% of kids I see are ignored most of the time, and do what they like in and outdoors. |

BAD PARENTING! A study published in the International Journal of Psychology found that 84 percent of parents in the United States lie to their children to make them behave. When lies are told to children it gets the clinical description of “instrumental lying". Quoting: USA of disgusting Liars! 35407675 The most common lie told by parents occurs when a child is having a tantrum in public and the parent says he or she will walk away (abandon them) and leave the child if the kid does not behave. Another common lie is the false promise of buying a requested toy, treat, or other item if the child behaves the way they want them to. Parents lie the most about food, spending money and misbehavior, according to the study. Parents in the United States also lied more about fictional characters such as Santa Claus and the tooth fairy compared to other countries. In short parents are no better than pedophiles at lying to kids to get them to behave and act a certain way! IMO All parents need to go to parenting school and be certified to become a parent before being allowed to become parents! More here: [link to abcnews.go.com] Why? I know someone who had to go to parenting class and they were told they can't spank their child or yell at them. They were told this in front of the child, so now the child runs their household. Dumbasses, the parents and the counselor. |

BAD PARENTING! Lol my parents wouldn't have lied, we just would have been smacked. And from what I remember, we weren't really temper tantrum throwers, unless we were mad at each other. |

It's wrong because promising them a toy for not throwing a tantrum will just ensure they'll do it again. |

BAD PARENTING! It's not the same thing. It isn't linked to the same thing and saying, or even trying to link the two things in someones subconscious mind, is a horrible thing to do. Do pedophiles lie to children? Yes. Do advertising executives lie to children so they will pester their parents into buying Coco frosty muffin cereal? (Which I just made up, but it sounds good, doesn't it?) Yes, they do. They promise things that aren't real or that they don't intend to deliver to get their own way. Does that make adverting executive all pedophiles though? No, of course not. Why would that line even be in the Original post? What kind of sick and twisted person would try to link slightly poor, but not illegal, parenting tactics with molesting or raping children? |
