Sounds like my childhood exactly. I would be young ( far to young to rationalize what i was doing was upsetting the social order), so the typical line i received was "If you dont stop ill put you in the car until im done".

I do not believe 84% of parents do ANYTHING to make the children behave, at least 50% of kids I see are ignored most of the time, and do what they like in and outdoors.

Why? I know someone who had to go to parenting class and they were told they can't spank their child or yell at them. They were told this in front of the child, so now the child runs their household.

So you're saying its wrong just because they're lying to the child? It's wrong because promising them a toy for not throwing a tantrum will just ensure they'll do it again.

It's troubling to me that you would take a thing that, while not good (I'm against all lying, and think that no one should bother with it.) and try to link it to Pedophilia.

It's not the same thing. It isn't linked to the same thing and saying, or even trying to link the two things in someones subconscious mind, is a horrible thing to do.

This is true. "Parents" shamelessly lie all the time to their kids. I've written a couple threads about this. It's sickening, the manipulating frigging cowards.
