Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35570376 As does reptitive mantras and rituals... Repetition can elicit depersonalisation, for instance; meditation involving repeating a mantra or concentrating on an object, certain kinds of dancing, and even Yoga. Some research conducted into depersonalisation has apparently used these activities to cue episodes of derealisation. Consequently, people who practice repetitive rituals and meditation in order to achieve 'enlightenment' or 'cosmic ecstasy', may actually be triggering depersonalisation as opposed to transcending an Earthly paradise. Similarly, sleep or sensory deprivation can lead to depersonalisation, and is it also a common component of near death and out-of-body experiences. Anonymous Coward User ID: 33282340 United States 03/14/2013 03:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I took it for a few months, and here are some experiences I had with it: Nothing like waking up 2 hours after you fall asleep ready to piss yourself but this drug does that....a lot. Only thing is when you stand up, you often get disoriented while taking this drug so I would often walk into the walls trying to find the damn bathroom and I was in my early 20s on this crap so its not old age. Then, I had to stay at my fathers for a few days while I had some house work done. My dad would tell me every night that he knew I was wasted, trashed, completely destroyed....and all I took was my meds. Nothing else. I wasn't on drugs, just this terrible psych med. He wouldn't hear any of that because he thought he knew me better than I know myself. |

Valium has a long half life so u can get off with minimal symptoms. Check out the Ashton Manuel. Valium is no worse than any other benzo. They all are mind destroying but you will need Valium to get off Xanax. I had a friend who had died on xanAx back in 04. I didn't understand why he wAs always emotionally offset until I had this issue with klonopin. I got off with the Ashton method. Trust me. Look it over. It's about 60 pages. U will need a micro gram scale that weighs down to .000 grams- a thousandth of a gram, which will make it much easier instead of titration. But either will work. The only problem here, the harder thing will be getting Valium. I decrease half a percent of a percent every dose from the equivalent of 1mg clonopin which is equal to 20 mg Valium. Pay attention you will be fine. |

Here I went to the doc because Igot anxiety realizing I was messing with Everything I shouldnt have been, as A believer in the Living God, and His Christ, and the doctor gives me medication that made it worse. The Benzos over the past year and few months have perpetuated and exsterbated the initial symptoms I went in for because of messing with meditation. And come to find out coming of of them is damn near one of the hardest things to come off of because your not in any way out of the clear when the drug goes out of your system, no! Your body has chemical changes that have taken place that only time can heal with a lot of hell that goes with it. Many of the withdrawl symtpoms from coming off of benzos typify what some would consider to be demonic interfereance and oppression. THis stuff opens up your spirit I believe and rapes your individuatily/ego/sense of self, Just like the meditation. So anyways. I guess that fits right in with the secret covenant, stealing out minds and serving us poinson. They have cast fire into thy sancturary! Anybody else come to similar conclusion? Quoting: Catch... my... Drift ... I experienced this. last week I was withdrawing from clonazepam (I've been prescribed to this terrible drug since I was 16) and it felt like I was fighting for my soul. I had to fight them off, I though I was dying. it was terrible. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 53883919 United States 09/13/2014 10:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry to hear you are going through Benzo withdrawl. That is indeed painful and dangerous. You can have seizures easily. You need to cut down on your doses and taper off gently. If possible. If not- it does go away pretty quickly except for the insomnia part. Try some melatonin or over the counter sleeping pills like Benadryl Or something. I think that Benzo- withdrawl can certainly cause enough pain to force you into having a spiritual experience I would not give up the meditation though. This helps spiritual growth and helps to get some control over your mind and hence- your withdrawl symptoms. Good luck! |
