Every country that has ever found itself in this position has undergone hyperinflation which has preceded a total economic collapse. Argentina and Zimbabwe are recent examples that come to mind.

And I just watched a video that proved America is now among the aforementioned examples.

I work for a grocery store in a small community. Almost everyone in our area is on food stamp (SNAP) benefits. I see people from all walks of life, well dressed people, people who are not so well to do, coming through my line every day with their benefits cards.

I see a lot of people getting arrested for shoplifting lately. We have had had 7 people arrested in February and those are the ones who got caught. I live in a nice area as well, with no so much crime, but the crime is starting to go up. People are leaving here too, and migrating to bigger cities to look for work. Down town, almost every business is shuttered and up for lease.

The only time the stores are busy here, is when the first of the month rolls around, when people get their benefits. The second half of the month is dead.

The news claims that our economy is recovering. I want to know where they get their info. It's a damn lie. Everyone I know is struggling. Everyone is having to tighten belts so damn tight we can't breathe. And what does our "leader" do? Sends more money over to Egypt. Dumps money into drones, while his fat wife eats lobster and tells everyone in this country to go on a diet.

We are on a fast moving train heading for a wall. Everyone get yourselves prepped, because there's no stopping it now.

It is not difficult to reach that ideal that 98% wants.

And it has NOTHING to do with the end of free markets and socialism to do.

What we need to do is to overthrow the financial system and put an end to an interest based economy.

Then we will have a world economy based on free trade ("capitalism" if you prefer that word) and a healthy spread of wealth.

TPTB have designed the system for maximum benefit for them. Interest based economy is the work of the devil.

So where'd it begin? I was a kid in the 80's (I'm only just old enough to remember Carter's gas crisis) but I remember Reagan's 'boom'... even then I wondered if it could possibly be sustainable. It wasn't.

Reagan's ideas worked if ethics and morality hold a place in business, but they don't. More, American business doesn't exist anymore either. Who started this? Who decided to create a global market, erasing the value of 'bordered peoples' and thus devaluing those with the good fortune to be born here or there?

Henry Ford said a company that makes nothing but money isn't much of a company at all. Somewhere along the way the U.S. shifted to a service economy and lost our manufacturing to cheaper labor. All we do now is deliver pizza to other people who deliver mail, to other people who drive Fed Ex trucks, to other people who cut the hair of other people who make pizzas. It's a financial hamster wheel.

When our forefather's went off looking for a new place it was to be made into a shining beacon of many things, but somewhere, somehow, somebody stole the light bulb and we let the assholes do it. If we don't return America to it's former glory, the 'best in the world at everything', if we don't lock this place down and spend some time taking care of our own, if we don't remove ourselves from the global economy, if we don't figure out some way to make "American Made" mean something again... No offense to anyone anywhere else. You should be dreaming and/or working toward the same.

Is it even possible now? Our government Reps should have to wear Nascar Uniforms so we can more easily identify their corporate sponsors. Politicians just want to get rich. People who go to Washington with integrity are either corrupted and assimilated or eliminated in a hundred different ways.

This site exists not because we are being watchful. It exists because we are being hopeful. Because doom brings change which, leads to hope in the souls of the downtrodden. We all see that it can't keep going like this. We all want to live in some picturesque mountain-place where cell phones don't work and doors don't have to always be locked. Or we just want a great big reboot. Regardless of the end desire, this can't be sustained. Change must come. many here say that they feel as if the world is at a precipice. I feel it too at times. It's born from a need for a deep breath, a respite for we hand-to-mouthers who know it just can't keep going like this.

Class warfare has been going on in this country for decades. And guess what? YOUR class is losing. And any time someone from YOUR class pulls back the curtain to reveal the game, the WINNING class cries "Class Warfare!" and shames the poor 96% into shutting up.

What I find so odd is how the super-elite top 1% can find happiness knowing the world is like this. I mean if you have $1 billion dollars having another billion isn't going to make you twice as happy. But spending $1billion to help out the less fortunate probably would.

And to watch our country be swallowed by debt yet pay politicians to lower taxes on the wealthy is so utterly cruel. We live in a time where the self is all that is important to the most privileged.
