extraterrestrial life????? bloody red snow???
this thread was posted today [link to www.godlikeproductions.com]

Just browsing through my favorite Russian meteorological news site Gismeteo and found this little 'baby' / news post. Might be curious for some of you so I decided to share it in a new thread. Red ice / icicles discovered in Arkhangelsk.

Probes / tests were taken from the ice and melted water. According to the scientists elevated levels of Hydrocarbons, Ammonia Ions, traces of natural fibers and soot were found. To me that sounds like either pollution, or rests from some broken up meteorite affecting the snow and ice. Considering the rare meteorite - induced iridescent nocticulent clouds we have been having above the Moscow skies in the aftermath of the Chelyabinsk meteorite strike / explosion.

What do you think of the whole ordeal? have you ever seen red ice like that? What could possibly pollute it enough so people would find that out of the ordinary and government tests are scheduled?

Here is the original article in Russian for those interested. [link to www.gismeteo.ru]

Glacier "Bleeds" Proof of Million-Year-Old Life-Forms

April 16, 2009

Gushing from a glacier, rust-stained Blood Falls contains evidence that microbes have survived in prehistoric seawater deep under ice for perhaps millions of years, a new study says.

The colony of microscopic life-forms may have been trapped when Antarctica's then advancing Taylor Glacier reached into the ocean 1.5 to 4 million years ago.

Since their capture millennia ago, the microbes seem to have been completely isolated. Under 1,300 feet (400 meters) of ice, they catch no sunlight, required for photosynthesis, and have no source of outside food.

The only thing keeping the microbes alive, the study says, is their ability to generate energy from chemical reactions with sulfur and iron. [link to news.nationalgeographic.com]
