Loud Boom In Alabama
I was just outside letting my dog pee, and BOOM, I mean it was loud, and it wasn't thunder..Very strange indeed. North east Alabama btw..Checking all news at the moment..Sounded like a weird sonic boom, almost like in stereo!..Be back with further info..

I'm in MS. Gonna go sit with a homebrew for a bit and listen.

I live near a train though, so I may get thrown off for a bit.

I have, and I want to say that's what we heard, only it was a little different than the one's I have heard before. Maybe because the jet was lower.

B.S, Notice how many of the posts start of with a generic "loud boom heard in_" the odds of everyone here hearing a loud boom in_ is way too unlikely this just seems like mass trolling.

BS flag away, we heard it in Nashville and it didn't sound like anything we could identify- it wasn't thunder, or fireworks, or gunshot lol... just booms that rattled our windows. All roughly the same time as the other booms being reported this evening.

I live in Leeds, Alabama and I have been hearing odd booms for the past two weeks. And like you said, they were not thunder. A marine told me that It's called blasting the sheep, so people will get used to huge blasts.
