I agree with the overall argument that we are/have become a nation of citizens that love the hand that feeds them. But, to blame it on a particular "party" is splitting hairs.

it is splitting hairs a bit because the republicans have jumped on the big government bandwagon.

i have "friends" who are "republicans" and yet they vote democrap in each election. Why? they all work for the government and each one has figured out that democraps promise more money for their public service unions which translates into higher salaries and more benefits for the gov worker.

it is in their self-interest to vote dem, the party of santa claus...

oh i should mention, that in the last election romney promised JOBS, lol that was his first mistake, who the hell wants a job when they can live off the taxpayer?

the film was a time capsule of values, of all of it - the time the teacher spent with the student, the parents present and both reading, the modest but very restful rooms.

I wish someone showed this film today.

Students now would zone out at the non-ghettoized attire of the boy, they would suspect the teacher of meeting the student after class for sex.

it is such a different, deteriorated world we inhabit today.

I see that differently and I left the democrat party because of its values.

Find ONE democrat who thanks the segment of society that provides jobs.

Find ONE who chides a girl who expresses the desire to have a baby on her own, pointing out that babies have mothers and fathers for a reason.

Find ONE democrat who truly subscribes to:

The best way to resolve americas "Lazy" problem is to introduce a mandatory 1year service to all youths at the age of 18. i can tell you from my own experience and from alot of people i talk to here in israel that before we joined the army we were just some lazy drunks with no future. after i was realsed at 21 i started studying hard and working hard because the army gave me values and now im a very wealthy man thanks to the values the idf gave me durning my service.
Our school system is quite terrible at giving people dicipline just like americas school system today, and the army is the thing that turns our youth into hard working people that keep our economy and country growing and introduce the love of the country to the youth that grows up in the global internet age where everything is global and the africans matter more then your own country.

their plan is to get as many people as possible dependent on the federal government. so when shtf they will freak out and beg for UN troops to come protect/help them.

people need to stock up on food, water, ammo and guns. Plenty of 308 bolt guns and 30-30's out there. Everyone needs to be self sufficient as possible. Only you can protect you. You will soon be on your own....
