What can help salvestrols work better?

Taking multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplements at the recommended daily allowance can increase the effectiveness of salvestrols. The specific enhancers are Biotin (Vitamin H), Niacin (Vitamin B3), magnesium, and selenium. Niacin, in a form that does not cause flushing or a skin rash (Nicotinimide), was previously included but is not present in the current formulation. Are Salvestrols antioxidants?

Yes, but it is not possible to dose it effectively. Although resveratrol is a good antioxidant, its effective dosage range as a salvestrol is very narrow. At higher concentrations, it is an inhibitor of CYP1B1. It is not possible to determine the dose at which the inhibition starts but we know that it is very low. Given this, it should be avoided while taking salvestrols.

Salvestrols may not be effective for cats because they do not produce the CYP1B1 enzyme in the same way as humans but the results for dogs may actually be superior. Use one Salvestrol Platinum 1000 capsule for up to two meals per day for every 40 pounds that the dog weighs. For smaller dogs, empty the contents of the capsule proportionally by the pet's weight into each meal. If the dog does not respond after two weeks, gradually increase the dosage up to two capsules per meal for every 40 pounds.

How should I use salvestrol cream?

Dandelions, also known by their scientific name, taraxacum officinale, can be ingested as a tea. Although you may think of dandelions as weeds, they provide high sources of vitamin A, B, D and C. Dandelions also contain potassium, iron and zinc, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Although nutritional, the tea can cause such side effects as nausea and an upset stomach.The Food and Drug Administration has not approved dandelions for medicinal purposes, so the tea may not do all that companies claim it will.

The myriad of other health benefits that salvestrols have to offer is due mainly to their ability to act as powerful antioxidants. So everything you read about the health benefits of antioxidants applies to salvestrols.

Antioxidants protect against free radical formation, and free radicals are implicated in many diseases apart from cancer, particularly neurodegenerative diseases.

In cancer salvestrols actually work beyond antioxidants to specifically target malignant cells, so they have an anticancer effect that is beyond any other antioxidants.

Salvestrols also help control the immune system and have shown effects against a variety of inflammatory conditions, and are formulated into the supplement "Stepping Free" for arthritis.

As individual compounds the salvestrols S30, T30, and T31G have all shown interesting activity.

Salvestrols S30 is resveratrol, which has been shown to protect from heart disease. If you look up resveratrol you will see its range of health benefits. The best source of resveratrol is a good glass of red wine.

Salvestrol T30 is similar to resveratrol and has been shown to have anti-depressant activity, and mood stablising properties.

Salvestrol T31G is my favourite one, and is formulated in the product "Salvestrol Gold". It is also a vital component of "Salvestrol Platinum". This compound has been shown to slow the onset of Parkinsons disease, although it is uncertain of its benefits once the disease is established. In its pure state T31G is a wonderful substance and is the least toxic organic compound I have ever come across. The only natural souces of this are citrus fruits and olives.

Salvestrol Gold is also formulated as a cream which has been shown to benefit a variety of skin conditions such as psoriasis, basal cell carcinoma, and melanoma.

So thats about the breadth of it which is enough to convince me that taking salvestrols can only be a good thing, and are otherwise harmless to the body.

1) Is there anything which interferes with the anticancer activity of salvestrols? I know about laetrile and also about fruit & veg sprayed with pesticide - I'm thinking of other environmental chemicals such as shampoos, hairspray, soap, perfume etc.

Dear Slarti, I've had 10 PhD students write their thesis on salvestrols so one more would be good.

Inhibitors of the CYP1B1 enzyme are carbon monoxide (smoking, effects lungs only), cyanide (laetrile, apricot kernels), and fungicides (agricultural sprays).

One point that needs clearing up here is that only fungicides and not pesticides inhibit the CYP1B1 enzyme. Furthermore it is only fungicides that deplete salvestrol levels in the fruit, and there is no evidence at all that pesticides are harmful to salvestrol production in plants.

All the cosmetics you mention are safe and harmless products. There a lot of scare mongering about cancer causing agents in this that and the other and its all usually rubbish. Most cosmetics are simply made out of natural oil derived molecules that are compatible with the body.

Resistance of cancer to salvestrols was something that concerned me initially. There is a P glycoprotein pump that pumps toxic molecules out of the cells and I was concerned that maybe the salvestrols could be pumped out by this same pump. It turned out that they cannot pump out the salvestrols because of the unique configuration of its structure it is recognised as friend and not foe. The salvestrols is recognised as food. The tumour cells likes salvestrols because it can eat them and feed off them when they are in low levels. So along comes a salvestrol into the tumour cell appearing as some food. It does not want to pump it out of the cell, it wants to hold on to it for as long as possible so that it can eat it. So the tumour cell keeps filling up with salvestrols until it reaches a level that switches the CYP1B1 enzyme on. Once CYP1B1 is switched on it digests the salvestrol and burns it up as fuel. This is a mini combustion reaction where the hydrocarbon (i.e. the salvestrol) gets oxidised and releases energy and ATP for the cells metabolic requirements. This combustion process changes the structure of the salvestrol so that it now fits the death switch and the cells are instructed to undergo apoptosis and die. So their is no resistance to this natural mechanism. Its on a dead mans trip switch that cannot fail. It has never failed in the evolution of humanity. Mammalian life would not exist without this organisational death switch intact. We would all just be a bundle of tumours if this did not work. Its when it does not work that actually gives rise to tumours. Its when there are insufficient salvestrols in the diet that it fails completely, and the low levels are just food for the tumours. So I let people make their own minds up about taking them. Do they want to be a bundle of tumours or a healthy human being that is the question ?

You have to remember that tumour cells are smart living human cells that have fallen deaf to the bodies signals to stop growing. Tumour cells are tough and resilient creatures that will pump out whatever toxins are thrown at them, so you have to be even smarter to tackle cancer cells. Mother nature has already outsmarted the tumour cell before its even formed by having a fail safe trigger that switches on the CYP1B1 enzyme as soon as the stop signals are ignored. The CYP1B1 then metabolizes the salvestrols in the tumour cells to metabolites that allow the cell to die naturally through apoptosis.

If there are no salvestrols in the diet then this process simply cannot occur and tumours will continue to develop.

When you realise how low the levels have got in some supermarket produce you will soon realise that you simply cant eat enough from a regular modern diet. Only when you eat natural organic foods can you rely upon the diet to provide enough.

for a name extra.

Ok professor... let me see what I can find for you. Resveratrol is but one kind of salvestrol. Salvestrols work with most - not just breast - cancers.

Hi Kerry

Acai fruit contain some of the best salvestrols of all including salvestrol Q42 which is unique to this fruit. This compound has been found to be one of the most potent salvestrols and works with the other ones to boost their activity. This makes acai juice a good food to combine with salvestrol supplements.

The levels of resveratrol (salvestrol S30) in fruits and foods are never high enough (max 2 mg) to interfere with salvestrol supplements and at the low levels present naturally resveratrol enhances the salvestrol activity, and foods that are rich in resveratrol such as grapes are good to combine with them.

It is only high doses of resveratrol (above 50 mg) that interfere with salvestrol activation, and indeed resveratrol even inhibits its own metabolism and this prevents the resveratrol from being activated and doses above 50 mg lower the anticancer activity and block it completely above 1000 mg. So high dose resveratrol supplements (above 100 mg) are not recommended with salvestrol supplements since they will interfere with the salvestrols anticancer activity.

The supplement salvestrol platinum contains 4 salvestrols formulated together. These are salvestrol T31G, T55, Q40 and Q66. The main salvestrols is Q40 and this is the best overall. Salvestrol P55 is the same as T55. This was found to be good at inducing higher levels of the CYP1B1 enzyme in cancer cells and so helps the metabolism of Q40. Salvestrol T55 also has better antimetastatic activity so it has been incorporated into the salvestrol platinum product. To find more information on salvestrols go to

I had an opportunity to talk with the Professor tolday through email. Nice man in my view!

A member of my family had surgery for colon cancer and afterwards had about 8 to 10 courses of high dose IV Vit C therapy (infused through an IV, oral doesn't work) over the next 2 to 3 months. This was to assure that any cancer cells knocked loose during surgery would not re-seed to another location. This was done upon reco of a Naturopathic Doctor.

That was 2.5 years ago and she's been clean ever since.

Resvesterol is also very promising, though in my family member's case dietary changes had much the same effect.

Can't emphasize too much how important a non-cancer diet is to eliminating possibility of spread and/or recurrence.

It may be worth pursuing high dose IV Vit C therapy in your daughter's case as there are no negative side effects, and the only risk factor is that associated with the insertion of an IV. And, if there were to be a recurrence, this is a useful therapy to pursue in lieu of either chemo/rad.

Resvesterol and other salvesterols can be taken orally with little to no negative side effects AFAIK so that's also an easy call.

Probably would not want to take res/salveserol within 24 hours before or after IV Vit C infusion.

Strongly suggest you consult with a capable Naturopathic Doctor (ND). The regular cancer Docs are near-worthless when it comes to prevention.

I ran across this study the other week and have to say never heard of these Adlay Seeds but this study caught my eye and I know the results don't always pan out for humans the same as in vitro and animal studies but its worth a try.

The results indicated that feeding with diet containing 30% of powdered adlay seed reduced the number of surface lung tumors by approximately 50%. Taken together, these results indicate that the components of adlay seed exert an anticancer effect in vitro and in vivo and may be useful for the prevention of lung tumorigenesis.

Skin Problems And Salvestrols by Jane Thurnell-Read

I'm really excited about some products that are really effective against skin problems - Fruit Force and and Salvestrol Gold cream. They are the most effective off-the-shelf products for eczema, psoriasis, skin tags etc. that I have come across in my 20+ years as a therapist.

People who don't suffer from eczema or psoriasis probably think of it as irritating, but do not realise how much it can dominate the sufferer's life. As the skin cracks and bleeds it can be excruciatingly painful when I had eczema as a teenager the pain often reduced me to tears. I would wake in the morning with blood all over the sheets, because I'd been scratching in my sleep. The skin on my hands and feet would split so that I could hardly use them. I was often a sorry sight. Although I no longer suffer with it (thanks to kinesiology), I am still so pleased that there are these simple, natural products that can help people.

Both these products contain salvestrols, which are natural chemicals produced by plants to counteract fungal infection. Unfortunately if you buy non-organic fruit it is unlikely to have a high level of salvestrols non-organic fruit is often sprayed with fungicides, and so the fruit does not need to produce its own natural fungicide.

Fruit Force and the cream are made from organic extracts of tangerine, cranberry, strawberry and grape, to a unique formulation devised by Professor Gerry Potter who has done much of the original research on salvestrols.

From my own experience and talking to other practitioners this product works well for many people with eczema or psoriasis.
