I believe you are right, OP! Those who do not believe in a rapture clearly have not taken this matter directly to God to reveal the truth to them about it. He has shown all who truly seek Him on this matter the truth that a "catching away" will surely take place for those who love and follow Him.

All the signs are clearing pointing to the fact that we are in that season! I am LOOKING UP and daily praying to "be accounted worthy to escape ALL THESE THINGS that are coming upon the earth and to stand before the Son of Man"(Luke 21:36)! Jesus is not on the earth when all these things begin so in order to "stand before Him", we must go where He is.

The passage in the KJV 'Accounted Worthy' is simply a bad translation and has nothing to do with the 'Rapture', this is yet another fantasy of 1830 from Scofield & Darby..

The phrase "that ye may be accounted worthy to escape" in verse 36 of the King James Version is a poor translation.

Compare the following translations: Revised Standard Version, "praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place."

Rotherham, "making supplication that ye may gain full vigour to escape all these things that are about to be coming to pass."

New English Bible, "praying at all times for strength to pass safely through all these imminent troubles."

The Greek word poorly translated as "accounted worthy" in the KJV is katischuo. It means "TO HAVE STRENGTH", or to "HAVE POWER". It has NOTHING, ZERO, to do with "worthiness". It comes from two Greek words, kata, meaning "down" or "under" and ischuo which means "TO HAVE STRENGTH or POWER".

So, what this passage literally says it:

"Watch therefore, and pray always, THAT YOU MAY HAVE THE STRENGTH OR POWER DOWN UNDER TO ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man".

So, does 'having the power to escape' these things sound like a 'Rapture' passage to anyone?

Things happen according to God's time which has nothing to do with how man measures it.

Anywhere you see time mentioned, ignore it and consider only what is being said to happen as the sign.

The same with counting numbers.

Where it is said let he who has wisdom count the number of the beast, that means let the wise be trapped in trying to figure it out. The faithful should be child like and not worry about such things as trying to count the number but rather look for what the sign is saying.
