It's not just the koran, Charles thinks Islam's superior and that the West should learn from it. Bear in mind that this is the future King of England. On Friday, December 13th, at Wilton Park, the Prince of Wales explained how the Muslim critique of materialism helped him to rediscover the sacred spirituality of Islam and explain the decline of the West. "I start from the belief that Islamic civilization at its best... has an important message for the West in the way it has retained an integrated and integral view of the sanctity of the world around us. I feel that we in the West could be helped to rediscover the roots of our own understanding by an appreciation of the Islamic tradition's deep respect for the timeless traditions of the natural order. It could also help us in the West to rethink, and for the better, our practical stewardship of man and his environment in fields such as health-care, the natural environment and agriculture, as well as in architecture and urban planning. He has long been fascinated by Islam and the culture of the Middle East. Now it has emerged that the Prince of Wales is having lessons in Arabic. Quoting: Tess2012 The Prince told guests at a reception in Qatar today that the language 'goes in one ear and out the other'. But an aide revealed that he is so keen to learn it that he has been having private tuition for more than six months. Being able to read Arabic would enable the Prince, who is passionate about encouraging dialogue between different religions, to read the Koran in its original form. It would also mean he could decipher Arabic script during visits to mosques and museums of Islamic art. Read more: [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Nothing like being prepared for the future.. 'fascinated by the culture' Is he fascinated by the beheadings, stonings too?? |

He has traveled extensively in the Middle East region and gained recognition as a diplomat, peacemaker, philosopher and even a mystic of sorts. His steering committees are very influential and help third-world populations as well as the starving & needy in the Middle East. Charles is refining his Arabic because when he enters Jerusalem (and the temple) he will need the blessing of both Arabs and Jews. He's already very influential with the Jews. He must also speak to the Arabs in their tongue. I don't doubt he's learning various dialects of the language. There is more to Charles Windsor than meets the eye. Much more. |

He puts his money where his mouth is. He is always willing to learn from others. He is a very good man. Much misunderstood by those who only read the media reports. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36174737 ![]() how many people can speak Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek all together today? What you read in your bible is just a translation which can be inaccurate sometimes. If you want to learn the bible as it is, you will have to learn three languages, unlike the Quran. There are translations of the Quran to most of the known languages, but as I said, the translation may not be very accurate sometimes. ![]() |

They now are called Windsor, which they are really Hapsburg (they changed their name during WWII to hide the fact that they are German.
