My mom told me about her menopause, it sounded horrible and I felt bad for her. Yes, keep her cool at night. My mom is normally cold all of the time but when she menopause she had to have it cold in the house, even the bedroom window open at night in the winter time. I don't look forward to going through it myself. Best wishes:) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34874037 Good info. here. My mom told me about her menopause, it sounded horrible and I felt bad for her. BE patient and I can tell you from personal experience, she is much more miserable than you are. I am really not laughing because, it's not a laughing matter in all seriousness. No, it's not funny at all. The girl you once knew does not exist anymore. Now I have to change. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 9231012 United States 03/20/2013 08:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Many of my friends have gone through tough menopause, they all have had kids. My Doctor says menopause is much worse for women that have birthed kids. I am 54 now, never had any kids. I have been post-menopausal for over 2 years now, in my misery I only had a dozen or so very fast hot flashes and really didn't get much bitchier than a normal period grouch. Certainly never went insane/mad like my other female friends. I have one friend that had 2 sons and she is stuck in permanent menopause. Her poor husband is always bruised from her pinching and hitting his arm. |

I can not take it anymore. Hair falling out from where it should be and growing where it should not be. Rapid sudden weight gain on my tummy, sudden dry skin, loss of sex drive, do not want to see or talk to anyone, loosing eye sight, memory and hearing. This memopause it not nice.. Big hug to the others going through it. |

The symptoms are common in overweight white women, but less so in Asian women. Theres Japanese women that never notice their menopause. I had no symptoms at all , I just had intermittent periods until there were none. But I did gain weight KINGDOMS, NATIONS AND KINGS HAVE BEEN BROUGHT DOWN TO THEIR KNEES WITH ONE GLANCE FROM A WOMAN. It's all natural & will not give her nasty side effects or cause her cancer. She should stay far away from synthetic hormone therapy from her MD. In the meantime have patience with her, because menopause can be pure hell for a woman. I did the bio-identical also. It was amazing! I'm not overweight (115) but menopause was horrible. I want to get on the bio identical ones also, they are synthetic, the bad ones are the natural ones made from horse piss. I just watched doctors show on PBS about it. |

I had no symptoms as long as I didn't eat meat and sweets. The only bad thing about menopause is that its harder to lose weight if you gain any, especially in the belly. I tried everything under the sun. I couldn’t stand it anymore so I went to a compounding pharmacy that make meds that are matched exactly to your needs and I have never felt better. None of it is covered by insurance, of course, so it is pricey but what price can you put on a better quality of life?!? My loved ones thanked me for doing this as well. NO! My name is NOT spelled wrong. Grab a dictionary. Peace, Love & Prayers God bless America And YES. I am a nurse! SIDE NOTE- I find articles everywhere and post what I think GLP would like to know. I do not necessarily believe or endorse some articles I find. So do not bash the messenger |

Quoting: sunshine4mealwayz What about fish? I actually lost weight on menopause, but I seem to be the exception to the rule. It’s a terrible thing to go through. I know I hope she finds the relief she needs. Everyone is different so if one thing works for another, doesn’t work for everyone So have her start trying the black cohosh, etc that’s out there and if she doesn’t get the relief she needs, go to a compounding pharmacy. I did and got all the relief I needed NO! My name is NOT spelled wrong. Grab a dictionary. Peace, Love & Prayers God bless America And YES. I am a nurse! Xtinna User ID: 70130332 United States 11/06/2017 07:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’ve been going through menopause for 1 1/2 years and its no picnic in the park. I have menopausal brain which is way worse than pregnancy brain, mood swings, wicked hot flashes and my anxiety went through the roof. I tried everything with no relief and I finally broke down and had the doctor put me on Zoloft. My anxiety and mood swings are not as severe. Don’t be surprised if you find her one day with her head in the freezer and she starts sleeping in the coolest part of the house to help with the hot flashes. Xtinna |
