Names denote function if not a completely different entity. Elohim are different than Lord Jahovah (Y@hovah) and Yaweh and all that stuff. It's not just 1 being. I think that's one of the places that a lot of churches and religious people I've met don't really get into. Interesting book that Bible |

Christians only have one father. The father most high; His names are many: Iah, Yahweh, YWHW, Jeh-O'iah (Jeh-o-vah = Of Him, O Iah )... etc. Isaiah: "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid : for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation" (xii. 2.) And Jonah (ii. 9.) "Salvation is of the JEHOVAH." As such we look to Christ; With our calling in Christ to receive, and to make known that Salvation: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) αιδουσι ~ "The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them." (Psa 34:7) |
