LIVE : Bald Eagle cam - 2 Eaglets !

It's not the poop. It's the fact that we have over protected them up here in AK, at the cost of other species.

I certainly respect your opinion Mexico. We can agree to disagree.

This camera provides adults and children alike to view nature as it can not be normally seen. I think if the Eagles were uncomfortable they would not continue to nest there.

I appreciate this for viewers who normally could not see this.

Besides, I find the view and sounds on this camera very soothing.

I don't know how long it takes but one of the eggs has a hole in it, and the website says there starting to hatch..

Did you watch the Pete's Pond, jungle cam around that time too? I don't think they run it anymore due to lack of funding.

Yes....Fred and Ethel are back again this year at Sooner Lake. Last year I watched the Sequoyah nest with amazement. Someone on here recommended that site....perhaps it was you!
I did visit Pete's Pond at that time as well...fantastic!

they got this town in Alaska where the bald eagles have overpopulated and they are everywhere.

why doesn't someone truck a few thousand down to the states, build them some nests?

I bet people would pay a lot of money for a bald eagle.



They would probably wipe out the small animal populations though, unless human beings could maybe share some of their food with the wild animals, instead of hogging the entire earth and feeding themselves til they are mordibly obese.

Just think how many thousands of square miles we murder and destroy, to plant crops , to feed our pigs, to over-feed fat people. We destroy thousands of square miles, of our earthly paradise, so we can overeat.

If we left those forests in place, and turned them into parks, you wouldn't be eating so much because you're bored out of your mind, you'd have places to go, something to do.

I'm surprised an eagle would take a sandhill crane since they're bigger. I saw one bring a Great Blue heron back to a nest though. I always thought eagles were supposed to be ineffective hunters, often resorting to stealing from other raptors like ospreys and using roadkill.

Just caught the changing of the guards. The egg is now full cracked and moving a lot!

I think one of the babies just hatched!

Hope this turns out okay. The last time (5yrs ago?) the chicks got ate by momma....

Someone on the Eagle cam website said they heard some chirps earlier.

I LoL at the fish sitting there on stand-by.

Yes! Heard chirps and the baby peeked out!

Just saw the baby when the dad rocked out of the way for a second! Not totally out of the shell yet, but close!

Yes, a very bloated fish. Looks like it is full of eggs.

There is a lot of wind. The camera is swaying at times.

Could be full of eggs, yeah. I think the parent is protecting the little one from being blown away. He sounds like he wants to come out and play though.
Have you seen a parent feeding him yet? I know they can wait for a good while before they start.
