This is the one dimensional explanation that some bring up, that the whole thing being arson, considering Butch. But mind control and being driven crazy certainly does not mean the person isn't coming up with ways to get an angle to survive or persist in his or her madness.

I mean Meth was made for Japanese and Nazi soldiers, and they were in madness and still making plans to kill.

I know some ppl are going to have a hissy fit over this, :shock: LOL, since there seems to be a consensus that Ronald Sr was a nice guy BUT he had Ronnie (Butch) torch his boat to get the insurance money. The insurance check for the arson arrived in the mail after the family was killed. The only one to benefit from that arson was in fact Ronald Sr since the check was made out to him. Nice guys don't engage in criminal behavior of insurance fraud never mind far worse they don't solicit their kid's to engage in criminal behavior for them!! (This sort of reeks of a dysfunctional family if ever I heard of one) I still don't believe Ronald Sr was a nice guy at all.
