Teacher charged for giving student 'wedgie'
A charter school teacher in Albany is out of the classroom and in the courtroom.

Police say Mark Holley gave a 10-year-old New Covenant student a wedgie during a summer school program sometime between July and August 2005.

The 41-year-old is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The mother of the boy told investigators she reported the alleged incident to school administrators immediately after it happened, but New Covenant did not file anything with the police department until January

It happens in Texas, seen it but witnessed it at a couple of bars. Gets a little "frisky" sometimes.

This behaviour probably stopped now that TABC is raiding the bars here in Texas looking for/arresting people for having too good of a time.

Kids doing it to kids is going to happen. Hazing happens between students, always has and always will be. You can't always interfere due to peer pressure, this can make it worse.

There has to be limits though. Disipline (sp) measures need to be appropriate, not overharsh though. That's when it gets out of control.

As said, between kids, disiplinary actions need to appropriate.

Guns, drugs, gangs etc. are not even in the same class.

Teachers doing it to students are inappropriate in my estimation. Know it's only an opinion whether appreciated or not.

Children are the future of the world.
