Even my own teacher said even buddhism itself is impermanent.
Not that he was saying it didn't have value for this time and place in history.

What's the fixation of suffering?
eternal sadness

Live with what you've learned, but more importantly 'live to learn'

learn to forgive yourself, before you try to forgive others
learn to love yourself, before you try to love others
learn to stand alone, before you try to follow

Whatever you do, DO NOT Go looking for pain to be more mature or to "Live"

A simple knowledge of the world and how it works will instill enough suffering,and maturity, but it won't scar you as much because our minds cant comprehend the massive (Run-on sentence) ;p

SS, Budism is intresting but have you looked into Daoism?

A little bit. I have looked into most, but much of it was a long time ago. I really enjoy Toltec. I've examined all the Tao teachings, which reminds me of Indra's Net. I looked into a lot of Tibetan stuff, but have found myself very specific to the certain teachings.

Thinking out loud...

I wonder if it's the teachings that find us rather that vice versa. In my experience what comes along seems to be what I need at that time.

I enjoy your view a lot. Lol, you don't have to look for pain, it always finds us.

And yes too insofar as 'fixation on suffering' is I think an earlier in the process tool to look around.

Forgive, love and stand is a good way to stop self torture and make friends with oneself.

Not everybody has to do things the same way. We can have a good time and cheer up too.

Im a knewb but Daoism seems most realistic to me but yes toltek would be runner up for sure.

Daoism seems very precise/scientific. there was a great discussion between Budism and Daoism from chinese masters on the taobums.com forum but I cant recall the topic title. I think it was on meditations. if I find it I will post a link it was very in depth and a bit like a christian debating with a jehova witness except in a much more respectable manner so I was able to see both sides of the the story on each from an insiders perspective.

21 years of marriage. You get it. If my husband and I were not able to accept each other and allow each other to be who we are as individuals we never would have made it this long. When you start forcing yourself on your partner you do begin living a lie and that is where trouble begins and relationships end.

The OBE/Astral Travel author? I found his writing style to be like nails on a chalkboard... I have no doubt that he knows of what he speaks of but his writing style & delivery I found to be inadequate and ineffective. He would have benefitted from employing the services of a co-writer/author.
