Will always be people abusing these kinds of services, but there's far more of us on state help not for the benefits or because we want to be but because we have to be. I don't know whats special about Cali, but here in the south east you're lucky to get $50 in EBT for an adult, just to maintain my $200 monthly I have to go for regular interviews and my collection is because of disability something they know will be lifelong yet I like many others are required to do the interviews over and over again just to eat. If you are collecting because of children, that's a whole different story. Basically the more kids you have out of wedlock, the more money you get in WIC/EBT etc., that's the systems fault though the cheaters didn't make the rules.

They live better than the lower middle class. What a damn shame.

well, people on welfare do get free childcare.....but not with people you might want to leave your kids with... then again, they are welfare scum, their kids deserve to die or get molested.

with all the hoops i jump through to try to get my bills paid, i don't. i don't have enough food by the end of the month. rent isn't paid, don't have enough for utilities. still have to do their "volunteer" work project where they work me at a job that should pay at least $10 an hour......for free.

now, maybe if the welfare didn't have contracts with all the businesses in town to get FREE, volunteer employees then i would be able to find a job to feed my family.

i was a stay at home mom for a long time and then my ex left us and now i can't find a job since i don't have recent work history. my fault, but i thought i was doing the best by my children to stay home with them while i could. not only this, but daycare is so outrageous that having the average job i could get with my experience and skills would end up solely paying for daycare. and probably not even the full cost of daycare.

as it is, i'm NOT picky, i apply everywhere. the ONLY job i will not accept is door-to-door sales, and that is the ONLY job i ever get calls back for. i regularly apply to places like mcdonalds and wendy's and taco bell....never get a call back. i'm not of hispanic descent...which is nearly a death sentence in california.

i am on welfare, i wish i weren't. i wish i could get off of it. even though it doesn't get close to paying my bills and i'm still nearly homeless and starving, its all i can get right now.

if i didn't have kids, i'd rather be homeless than go through the ridiculous shit one has to to be the scum of the earth on welfare.......

if people want to look at welfare recipients the same way as they always have, it should be as easy as it always has been. but its not, and as we can see, it hasn't done much good. there are still pieces of shit acting like they got it made, because they don't NEED welfare...people who do need it are starving by the end of the month and are lucky if they can find money elsewhere to cover the rest of their rent and needs.

and the programs that are making welfare like this are not only hurting the recipients that ACTUALLY need it (and leaving those who don't need it rolling in dough, apparently?) but the new welfare programs cost the american tax payers 3x the amount as it used to....so it costs more. for everyone. and creates what? MORE welfare needing clones because we all know what happens to latch-key kid sin america.

and honestly, friend....you cannot get more money for having more kids, so thats just another thing people tell themselves to convince themselves that welfare is the problem and not that the people on welfare would be a problem whether they were taking benefits or taking your grandmama's ashes from your living room while you sleep.

Well, she does have a point, it's hard as hell as a single mother to work your ass off and pay for child care at the same time, as most of your money goes out the door paying for child care. Better for a mother to stay home and raise her kids. Can't say that I blame her on that note.

This young man, in the best traditions of Horatio Alger, found an opportunity to do something that he likes doing and get about $70,000 for doing it over the last 3 years or so. I'll bet that this fine young man has to get up at the crack of noon nearly every single day and work hard all night either in luxury nightclubs or practicing with other students in their digs or the park in the summer months, after his studies.

And to top it all off our fine President as rumor has it will soon be spreading HOPE amongst our young people by forgiving student debt. Why it's stories like this that make America the envy of the world.

Actually I have proposed a number of solutions over the years...one would be to cage the males as soon as they learn to walk, they will just end up in jail eventually anyway, and this would prevent crimes and rape...two, simply ban Negroes...and third, at the very least sterilize them as they come through the system for money or crime.
