REALLY FREAKY SHIT happened months after taking LSD!

Most people heal, learn and grow stronger by the experience.

My cousin, as a young man, developed schizophrenia from taking a bad trip. Consequently, he feel in love with a chicken, would speak in weird voices and projectile vomit. 15 years later, he is closely monitored and will never be a normal man.

Play russian roulette with your mind all you like, but I would rather work at bettering my future than potentially fuck my mind up so much that I'm living under a bridge, muttering to myself and swigging out of a bladder of cheap plonk.

You are setting yourself up for this type of future.

One idea that i had on an experience, and i think about it alot.
Is it possible that lsd disrupts the filter of reality? When you are sober, our brains are filtering out non important data that is always around us. We absorb the data, it is filtered and sorted out by our brains into a simpler form so we are not overloaded with too much of the data. We all know that there are particles, and energies that we cannot normally see. There are frequencies that exist but we dont hear....or do we? I think our brains are just too fagile in its present state of evolution to take in all the data that is going into our heads. i think in some ways lsd and other psychedelics breaks down that filter just a bit and allows more of that info thru to our consciousness.

amigo, i never called you a junky. i called you an "experimenter" if that is even a word. whatever source you use for LSD is sketchy. probably homemade something-or-other. unless you have an in-house lab to analyze what you are taking into your system, you run risks.

i believe the body is a temple. it is the house of God.
i also believe that there are certain individuals with diabolical agenda who create substances that, when put into the body, will disconnect the temple from God temporarily. while the disconnect is in place, there are a number of forces on the supernatural highway that may take liberties.

i have done hallucinogenics twice. both times were miserable. it was like a prison. once, i was trapped in hysterical laughter for so many hours that my face seemed locked in a grimace and it became like a possession. the other time, i saw the monsters in the bad people i was surrounded by at the time.

back in the day, i preferred speed and alcohol. (say yuck three times). saw lots of stuff on that ride too. none of it good.

but, i was a metal musician, and it was the late 80s-early 90s and it went with the territory. took many years to recover from those toxins. speed was easy to put down. alcohol and i had a bad romance for many years. glad its behind me. learned a lot. extremely grateful its talons are removed from my flesh. plus, i became a mother, which was my greatest love, and it was easy to be good after that.

never liked weed. just assumed i was allergic. it would always give me full body trembles and make my blood sugar soar and then drop like a brick from an airplane.

be good to yourself. there are many great experiences ahead and they are full of awe and wonder. look for them, ask for them, they are waiting for you.

Thanks for opening my eyes wider and putting your personal experience, and I totally agree with you that the body is a temple and we have to take care of it and respect it. I never looked at it that way before, you explained yourself like a real true human being, and I love that you came here to give me a fare warning that i may be disconnecting myself from this temple of mine. This is no coincidence that you came to explain yourself, I look at that the universe brought you here to remind me these things and I need to learn as a human being to respect myself and as well as others. Because you truly care what might happen to people you have no relation to, and that means a lot. It makes me appreciate that there's people like you here in the first place, and your just trying to help. How the hell you know what brain damage is in the first place, how do you know if you have brain damage or not? People are put in nutt houses and they were fine in the first place, but if society tells them they are crazy they might get the impression that they are crazy wether they are or not. Maybe we are all crazy, how would you know?

You don't "develop" Schizophrenia from taking drugs, you either have a disposition for it or not, the psychedelics might trigger it before it normally would but if you get really mentally fucked from psychedelics you would have anyway.

Psychedelics don't cause the same effect as Schizophrenia. Its totally different. Schizophrenia is part of your brain development. At adolescence your brain starts to reorder parts and by doing it it also destroys parts of the brain. With "normal" people this is all controlled but with Schizophrenic people more of the prefrontal cortex gets destroyed than necessary.
Psychedelics have little to do with this process, psychedelics mimic receptors (I believe) and therefor makes your brain have mixed up connections in certain parts of the brain, it doesn't cause brain damage or changes your brain except for giving you some memories.

* Malleson (1971) reported no cases of psychosis among experimental subjects (170 volunteers who received a total of 450 LSD sessions) and estimated 9 per 1,000 among psychiatric patients (37 cases among 4300 patients, of which 8 details are unknown, 10 appeared chronic, and 19 recovered completely within up to 3 months).[42]

However, in neither survey study was it possible to compare the rate of lasting psychosis in these volunteers and patients receiving LSD with the rate of psychosis found in other groups of research volunteers or in other methods of psychiatric treatment (for example, those receiving placebo).

"The hallucinogenic experience is so striking that many subsequent disturbances may be attributed to it without further justification. The highly suggestible or hysterical individual would tend to focus on his LSD experience to explain subsequent illness. One Chinese girl became paraplegic and ascribed that catastrophe to LSD. It so happened that these people were all in the control group and had received nothing but tap water."

when I was a little girl around 8 or 9 I was at the playground near my house, I found this sheet of paper on the ground and it was a bunch of little stamps with pretty images on them, care bears, unicorns, all types of cartoon characters I was so happy at what I found I ran home with it to show my Mom, I remember her telling me to never put anything you find on the ground in your mouth, the funny thing is I actually remember thinking to myself when I found this paper I better go show my Mom what i found first before I lick these stamps and play with them...I remember running into my kitchen and showing her this and saying look what I found Mommy!!! she screamed and grabbed the paper from my hand yelling DID YOU LICK ANY OF THESE, TELL ME NOW DID YOU LICK THEM!!! then I said no and she said lets go she grabbed and started pouring water into my mouth and then scrubbing my hands with soap and water screaming and crying..I don't remember what happened after that if she took me to the er or what..it was never brought up again BUT I remember a night where for the longest time i thought it was just a nightmare..it was so real snakes were falling from the walls onto the bed, bugs were all over the place and spiders were all over my covers I remember screaming and crying and I can to this day see the snakes slithering all over the walls and the bugs crawling all over the bed...I wonder if it was that day with the acid sheet I found..really fucking messed up isn't it?

Not completely true. It depends entirely on the person's inner strength and self perspective.

People that have weak minds, are fearful of everything and over emotional people should NEVER take acid or smoke pot for that matter. Add liquor to that list as well.

People with strong wills and good self esteem will benefit from taking acid and actually gain happiness and better self image from the trip.

I've had some similar experiences with acid. I've seen the eyes in the mirror and the melting face. The endless void walls. The rocking bathroom most of these things happen commonly when your on acid. The telepathy thing sounds awesome I never got to experience that. It sounds

What was the picture you saw of btw? 15 a hit is a good deal acid is rare nowadays I haven't been able to find it since 2008. It is true that what kind of music you listen to can dictate your trip. I made the mistake one time of bumping wu tang clan one time and totally freaked out and lost it then my friends threw on bob marley and I was calm as baby. Good story tho I love reading about other peoples trips especialy when they experience crazy things like you did. I truly believe everyone should try acid at least once in their life.

This is bullshit if you did not lick it, put it in your eyes, nose, up your ass or in your coochy. Lsd does not soak into the skin by just touching the paper that has the lsd on it. It must be absorbed thru the mucus membrane, or it had to be mixed with dmso, which could have been a possibility if it was in liquid form, but not on blotter.

I will admit however that just by touching it briefly from a blotter won't but if it's in your hand and your sweating it will seep threw.

I tripped my fucking brains out on acid for like 18 hours, it was nuts. I think I took about 8 hits and also licked a bad that was filled with about 20 sugar cubes, so who knows how much I actually had.

The first 10 hours were incredible, absolutely amazing. Then next 8 were the complete opposite, to the point it gave me anxiety and fear well into the next few years just thinking about it. I went into a different world, basically completely out of reality and inside of a nightmare that felt like it lasted forever. The shit I seen was out of control fucked up, just thinking about it gives me chills.

I did shrooms later on after that and was fine, but only about a gram. I still take mdma every once in awhile for festivals, but that isn't hallucinogenic at all. LSD on the other hand, I'll never touch again.

Took 4 grams of shrooms one time and had an awful trip. Started off good but that one thought seeped into my head and baaaaaaaaad trip. Got over it about 8 hours later.

Then some months later I was in a haunted house with my family in Cali. Had a relapse of what was going through my mind when I was on the shrooms. Thought I was in Hell. The only thing that kept me sane was my sisters laugh once in a while and seeing an exit sign pointing to a fire escape door once in a while.

It's all def possible.

MDMA is baby food compared to LSD but its still fun, the only thing I can't stop dancing! My legs get really Jerky when I take MDMA. Always wanted to try shrooms but never had the rescourses to get hold of. When I first took LSD, I asked the guy who was supplying it to me what does it feel like, he said have you ever took shrooms?
