Re: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest - Jesus Christ
Finally, to all of you, live in harmony with one another, be sympathetic, love as brothers,
be compassionate and humble,
do not repay evil with evil, nor insult with insult but with blessing, because to this you were called,
in order to inherit a blessing, for whoever would love life and see good days must
keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful ways. He must turn from evil and do good,
he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayers. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good. But even if you should suffer because of what is right
you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear. Do not be frightened. But set apart in your heart that
Christ is Lord. Always have an answer for those who ask the reason for the hope that you have. But do so
in gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscious so that those who may speak maliciously of your good
behavior in Christ may feel shame in their slander. It is better if it is God's will to suffer for doing good
that for doing evil. For Christ died for sins, once and all, the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to
God. He was put to death in the body, but brought alive in the spirit. He is seated at God's right hand with the
angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Re: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest - Jesus Christ
Mary,

For html economy, I will not reprint the earlier stuff.

My spiritual journey in Christ will not take me back to the Catholic Church. By and large, it is not a spirit led church. The dogma that surrounds this church including the practice of the rosary is not scripturally based. It is a manmade concoction that does not offer the member a Kingdom based theme, but keeps them firmly in the grasp of a hierarchy where the top is the so called "vicar of Christ". I don't need a substitute or someone who is a guiding force through a fleshly interpretation when I can go to the genuine article in prayer and meditation and that is Jesus Christ.

All who accept Christ and do the will of the Father will be saved. Not my words, but in both a Protestant and Catholic type bible. While the Holy Eucharist has significance, it is not what should shape the church service. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ What can you derive from this? It is quite apparent that for this to be early in the books of two different disciples, not to mention others, that it is a key ingredient to making the bread rise. The wafer you take as the body of Christ does not grow without it. Consider also the wine used a symbol of his blood when, in fact, Christ will not again drink wine until he is reclining at the banquet of Isaac. Why?

This 3000 year journey from Christ birth to the end of his millennial reign on this earth is mankind winding out his three days of effort in the spiritual world to conquer death and hades which will be thrown into the lake of fire in the second death. I personally don't need church relics on the wall or a spiritual leader with a staff that has him hanging on the cross dead to show me the way. The victory over death is done........ Christ is alive and so is the word. The good news is for the Kingdom. We do not need to reenact the death of Christ in every service when the two primary objectives of Christ while in flesh on this earth was to END sacrifice and fulfill the law. Again this is biblical and not my words. Whether you arrive at the vineyard at 9am or 5pm, the same denarius is offered to the worker. It is salvation plain and simple. It has nothing to do with church affiliation, but the decision to bring your cross back to Golgotha and be made anew in water and spirit through his victory over death.

What you think is heresy is the fallacy you live in. Not a single church on this earth is perfect in form, nor is it what Peter is the rock of. If you had been hit by the River of Life, talked to God and touched the hem of Christ garment in spirit weeping uncontrollably and knowing the sin of this world as I did, you wouldn't call the spirit filled movement in others heresy. Not once did I need nor use a saint including Mary as an intermediary. You do not need it.

I meditate on Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not, and John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. And... of course test the spirits and pray without ceasing as Paul request you to do. It works. I promise you. It works, and what happens has nothing to do with church affiliation, it is a decision you make in heart to serve the Kingdom of God and announce it's arrival. The Lord's Prayer insures you that it is already in formation. "Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth AS it is in Heaven." Billions of prayers offered up to our Father assure you that it has been answered to some degree. You ought to have the eyes and ears to see and hear it.

Here's a good thing to be spiritually led to. Consider it a gift from those who you call heretics on this board. Judges 9:11 verse But the fig tree said to them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees? ( a fig tree speaking.. and in a quandry over temptation?) and the cursing of the fig tree by Christ in Matthew basically confirms that the fig is the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge. Jesus Curses a Fig Tree Matthew 21

18Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.

20When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked.
THIS IS HUGE
21Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” The false fruit would not grow for Christ and neither should it for us.

And another...
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Matthew 3:11, John the Baptist said: “I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire.

THIS ONE ABOVE AND THE ONE BELOW ARE REALLY COOL VERSES. PRAY FOR THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU AND THANK GOD FOR IT THROUGH HIS SON IN ADVANCE. WATCH WHAT HAPPENS. IN OTHER WORDS, PRAY FOR YOUR HEARTS TO BURN AND HAVE JESUS OPEN UP THE SCRIPTURES FOR YOU AND PRAY TO BE BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE. WOOHOO!!!!
The word repentance is to understand that we are of the Kingdom of God. Instead of the seed being unholy from the foundation of the earth, it is being purified through repentance. The word is a key. The dark ones use the imperfect pentagram (hence we have repentance) with the head of baphomet (the beast) in it. They want to push this into man and this comes from the core of the earth in dark concept. Christ gets rid of that and read where the book of life names are from the foundation of this earth as told in Revelation. It is time to receive those names.

Luke 24:32And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”

Acts 2:1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Holy Spirit & fire
Luke 3:16
7John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
15The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Messiah. 16John answered them all, “I baptize you withb water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you withc the Holy Spirit and fire. 17His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” 18And with many other words John exhorted the people and proclaimed the good news to them.

Matthew 3:11
7But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. 9And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 10The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
11“I baptize you withb water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

HolySpirit only
John 1:32
32Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”

Mark 1:8
4And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. 6 John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 7And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8 I baptize you withe water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

-----
baptism of fire is only mentioned in context of judgement and with the vipers (pharisees and Sadducees) present.

Hebrews 10:26-31
For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment, and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge His people." It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

-----
Churches all across the world are encouraging their congregations to receive "the baptism of fire" as they shout "fire! Fire! Fire!" over their heads. They fall down laughing, fall backwards, shake, tremble, pee their pants....and yet it leads not to repentance and does not convict them of sin nor lead them into the presence of a Holy God.

Are you absolutely sure that you want "the baptism of fire"? Burning in your heart as He opens scripture to us is not the baptism of fire.
