If an unbelieving spouse leaves, a Christian is then not bound and can remarry. That's my circumstance, but I'm seeking God's guidance and taking my sweet time. Many Christians will not see heaven due to fornication, adultery, and the like. |

Messiah is the bridegroom and this is the example he was giving that he never separates from us under no situation. 1 But these took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt, 42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land. 43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river. 44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over. 45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth. 46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come, |

In the time of the bible (as it is still common in many cultures) divorce is hurtful to the status of both the man and the woman's families. So they are not to divorce... BUT THEY ARE ALLOWED TO "TAKE ON" NEW "WIVES" AND "HUSBANDS" JUST NOT IN A FORMAL MARRIED SENSE. ---- DON'T SPOUT YOUR BS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. JUST BECAUSE MODERN 1900+ CHRISTIANITY MISUSES THE TEACHINGS OF THE BIBLE TO THEIR OWN AGENDA AND END, DOESN'T MEAN ITS TRUE. ASSHAT. |

The death of the Husband had allowed the divorced wife to re-marry. Messiah's death was the way God could get back in touch with us and still not break the law of divorce, where one had to die before the other could marry again.
