ABSURD: VA Police Officers Refused Restaurant Service Because Of Their Guns
"According to media reports, eight on-duty police officers were recently refused service at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Manassas, Virginia because of their guns.

The eight police officers were on-duty, but were said to be in plain clothes. When they were approached by a server who saw their guns on display in their holsters, the worker purportedly told the officers that the establishment was a gun-free zone. The police officers proceeded to show the waitress their badges, but the server still would not take their orders. The worker continued to refuse the officers service in the restaurant.

A local present at the restaurant, Daryl LaClair, witnessed the entire situation and was so outraged that he wrote a letter to the restaurant chain and started a public awareness campaign."

I have no issue with them being served while armed as long as we can as well.

What's good for the goose...

Hey, they (the restaurant) may just be trying to send a message regarding 'gun control' as the 'powers that be' want to disarm you.

If that's their intent, I'm all for it...

Why should they have a monopoly on violence?

I generally put as much distance between me and law enforcement as possible, as people tend to get dead when they're around....

Then they shouldn't complain when they get robbed either. Most of the convenience stores around here offer free coffee to the po po. It makes the criminals wary of robbing the stores when there might be a cop inside.

So it's OK for the cops to carry in the store but not us lowly civilians?

Screw Buffalo Wild Wings and the owner. They're all hypocrites.

With that, I agree. I support the actions of the employee and do not agree with the perspective of the owner.

I have no problem with the waitresses decision. Why are law enforcement above a law abiding citizen who owns and carry's a gun legally. The restaurant policy is a gun-free zone, while I oppose the policy, it should cover law enforcement as well.

I guess I'm ignorant for not trusting police....

Why would I talk to anyone who tells me that anything I say can be used against me?

Youu're the first p[erson that's ever told me that I'm ignorant for keeping distance between me and cops.

Interesting...
