clearly you know nothing about the Dead. I say with confidence that the only reason most "deadheads" are able to go on tour is because they make bootleg merchandise and sell it at the concerts.

Come to think of it...I've seen more bootleg grateful dead pieces of merch than legit ones.

OP...1,000 is low for such a "rare" collectable. Most dealers at the concerts can walk out with upwards of 5k a night if they have the right drugs...tell him you were offered more and see if you can get him to go higher.

I sold my silver one for 150 and my plated one for 240

Make sure the buyer sends you a check for $5,000 then you send him $4,000 and the coin. Do all of this before cashing the check. This is how business works.
