Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 26338100 United States 03/29/2013 08:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | MY understanding is that new laws make it legal for USA banking to confiscate uninsured deposits, entities that are not covered by FDIC and if write downs are not sufficient enough, to confiscate insured deposits to meet capital needs. Yes they will go for shareholders first but with all the buybacks going on for 2013, I do not have much faith in that covering the huge derivate gambling casino, that must crash. I guess we will see how it plays out in Europe and UK first. As stated, the coordinated policies will be implemented on different timelines. I hope I am wrong but reading between the lines, if shtf we will help with picking up the tab. Work tomorrow, done for the night. |

They have spent the last two years rewriting the GLOBAL FINACIAL BANKING SYSTEM. THE GLOBAL CARSH IS OH SO NEAR FRIENDS, PREPARE!!!! This is my first post ever but I have been here for years, silently watching. Please, please keep this thread alive so that all may prepare. And I quote... Cyprus was the test. Then a little bigger country. Then A few more. Then Europe. Then the US. then WW III because we'll be poor starving maniacs. Last Edited by NoSleepEver on 03/29/2013 08:32 PM |

You won't get this unless you read it,figure it out, and compile backgroung pertinent info! “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Instead, they'll take all your hard earned cash that you put in the bank for themselves. Then when they're done paying off the banks debts, they'll give you back what's left. What's left cold be nothing, or a promise to pay you backwhen they have the money. None of your money is safe in a bank. It could end up disappearing. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28870983 It's what people have been saying for years, printed money is an illusion. It doesn't exist. In the end all lies dissolve into the truth. This is what is happening to our paper currency. All paper currencies in the history of humanity have failed. Ours is next. |

You decide.. world's largest money manager pulls back out of Europe. Flight of capital Spain and Italy: [link to online.wsj.com] . R.I.P. for the real Wubbo Ockels. He was a true icon of my country, and a great front-fighter for sustainable energie/technology and humanism. "Yes, we have hurdles, we have distractions, we have disasters, personally and world-wide, and we do have to work it all out ourselves. BUT, there is a most amazing experience awaiting us on the other end of the finish-line. The idea being, once we can handle it all down here, then we can live and explore eternally, responsibly, because we know what not to do, and not be resentful about being responsible, so we don't start a polarity domino effect in the other realms of existence." blue devil User ID: 30728507 United States 03/29/2013 08:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have less than 100k in banking and checking in a local credit union. They do not have a huge portfolio of risky loans or "derivative time bombs" on their books like a TBTF bank does. The Cyprus issue has no impact on that account, nor does the BOE/FDIC document OP posted. Message - use local credit unions. Worry less. If you have more than 100k in a bank to worry about, think harder. |

Lemon User ID: 5766356 United States 03/29/2013 08:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I love a good Doomgasm, but this paper says nothing. If your global bank fails, don't expect your money back. (in the UK or the US). I can't say that this is new or exciting. Pick a small local bank or credit union, and take the management out to lunch every few months to find out "what's really going on" **I'm all out of bubblegum |

Lemon User ID: 5766356 United States 03/29/2013 08:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know nothing about credit unions. Do you guys really think they'll be safe? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28870983 Some credit unions are very large. Pick a small local one. "safe" is a relative term, but a small local credit union is as safe as banking gets. The other option, gold & silver buried in your yard has (in my opinion) more risk of being stolen than the small local bank or credit union. **I'm all out of bubblegum |

blue devil User ID: 30728507 United States 03/29/2013 09:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As far as precious metals, I used to have a nice sized jar of pre-1964 real silver half dollars. But then somebody broke into my apartment and stole them. Later, I was able to replace them with silver maple leaf coins but I was out in a small aluminum fishing boat hunting northern pike and it tipped over. Lost it all. Again. My dream is to go bake to that lake with scuba gear and a metal detector and find it again. I haven't had the money for that yet. One day... |

Quoting: Saddletramp Dodd-Frank was the law that JP Morgan used to steal accounts and loot MF Global when it went tits up, but this rule applies to banks as well... You are no longer a "Depositor" in the bank, you are now an "Investor" or an "unsecured creditor"...meaning you just lost 90% of the protections on your money... Dodd-Frank was the biggest raping of depositor rights EVER... Get your money out of the banks... Where to put it? In your mattress, you'll get almost as much interest and at least it will be safe from these demons... I have a good safe but I worry about robbers! The BANKS are the robbers! |
