Isn't Science Fiction supposed to have science in it?

A lot of these films are Science Fantasy, or even straight Fantasy.

The novel is Polish.
The 1972 film is from the Soviet Union.

I find Tarkovsky's films rather boring.
Very, very pretty, but not much happening.

A good classic SF movie would be Forbidden Planet (US-1956), starring Leslie Nielsen.

It was cool after pointing out the main cells in a lower layer with nice knowledge and motors with chat and memmory retreiving with oh that happened before...

They always leave after or its all desert when destroying.
