There's nothing wrong with suggestions even if you don't like the idea. An aggresive response like that can only mean you've been spoon-fed with so many violent movies that you are a potential criminal. Whatever images, chess or others, can be copies and set beneath a glass and frame. I have done that with Chinese motif and not with chess because I personally don't like chess but I guesses someone would. The chinese ideograms are usually writteb from top to bottom so my frame was set in vertical way. You can use the same procedure with Gothic vitarls and many ideas. Decoration doesn't need to be expensive and we have seen that in British tv shows for example, where people use imagination. Also the painting of a single wall in a different color has been popular in last years. WHAT IS INSANE AND WHY do you care to explain, idiot???? |

A mirror is important to give the false impression the room is bigger than it is [link to fotolog.terra.com] [link to fotolog.terra.com] This furniture I ordered to be made with wood use in demolition. |

The modern plasma high definition is in the Asian sort of bedroom. The mirror provides light. On the other hand CARPETS STEAL SPACE visually. It seems the place is smaller than it is. So, if you are gonna use carpets, choose smaller ones unless you have a huge space. The rule in decoration is try to use fewer things which look classic or better ( I bought that old fashioned sewing machine in a antique house) than filling the house with cheap poor tacky things. I wanna feel like a king in my castle and I don't need to be rich. And what happens is usually men think decoration is housewife's duty and leave it up to her. So you see the mess of beer cans and newspapers all over the place because men don't feel at ease at their own homes. They feel they are dwelling in their wives's cabin which is an extension of their mothers' houses. |

I have Russian friends I play chess with. Some guys like drinking beer and watching football, we sip Cognac and play chess. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19668395 You can make a photocopy of this typical Russian figure: [link to www.weschlers.com] Find a nice similar FRAME around that picture and make your friend feel at home. I personally drink vodka with Brazilian curaçau blue and lemon juice! Rent Yul Brynner's film Taras Bulba, they would comment their view afford or against. In the film which is Russian DAY WATCH AND NIGHT WATCH you can have good ideas of simple decoration on the wall like photographs. |

From the first one director Brian Di Palma created his slow motion stairway scene in The Untouchable and in Godfather, Coppola used the bullet through someone's eye. From Aleksander Nevsky not only Lord of the Rings and King Arthur owe a lot but also STAR WARS, enemies wearing white uniforms... check the helmets: [link to www.ugo.com] Imagine a photograph of that film just beside Darth Vader helmet on a proper table or desk. Man,your Russian friends will remember you forever. |
