UNDERSTANDING OF THE SABBATH AND ITS IMPORTANCE TO ALL MANKIND
Why of the ten commandments our heavenly father include the word remember to the fourth command? Let us examine the facts starting in the book of creation "Genesis". When the earth and the worlds were created there was no Jew or Muslim or Pentecostal or Presbyterian or Baptist, but the created man and beasts ocean rivers and forests of trees and shrubs.

ededed

The hallowing of the 7th day was directly from the father since creation he completed everything and stopped work and called it his day.The day was sanctified from all other days.

I am showing this because folk will tell you outright that the Shabbat is for Jews and Christ is our Shabbat and it was nailed to the cross with the laws.Well this is a law from creation as we see.Now let us go to your favorite verse you use to refute the Shabbat to prove the scriptures are right and you are wrong.

NMNHN

Mark 2:23-28.
Yhashiyah allowed His disciples to pluck heads of grain to eat as they walked through grain fields on the Sabbath. He was challenged on this point by the Pharisees, who had added more than 60 legalistic "dos and don'ts" to the Sabbath—of their own human devising. But Jesus said, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath".

Christ did not say that the Sabbath was made for the Jews—but for "man." Like I explained above from creation it was made for man! not the Jew there was not Israel at creation. He said the Sabbath the 7th day (not Sunday) is the day He is "Lord of." Yahshiyah did not give the slightest hint about abrogating the Sabbath commandment."HOW DID YOU MISS THAT?"

M,JJK,J

Genesis 2:2-3 begins to provide the answer in this argument.

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God BLESSED the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made."

M,JJK,J

Now let us Look at the reasons God included the shabbat law he instituted from creation in the ten commandments for his people Israel now that the earth has flourished and he now has a chosen people

Exodus 20:8-11
At Mt Sinai, God mentions one reason:
"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.

In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it."

Notice the reason for the Sabbath: "in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it." With this statement the Lord roots the Sabbath in creation.

M,JJK,J

Reason number #2

Deuteronomy 5:12-15
At the end of 40 years of wandering through the desert, Moses repeated for Israel once again the 10 commandments. This time, though, the fourth commandment reads differently:
"Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.
In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day."

Notice that the reason for the Sabbath is also inclusive of God’s work in the week of creation and God’s free gift of redemption to Israel from the house of bondage. And we understand that the redemption from Egypt was not a simple freeing from slavery to Pharaoh itself; this redemption foreshadowed the deliverance of God’s people from slavery to Satan through the coming work of Yahshiyah Christ on the cross.

So there appear to be two distinct reasons why Israel was to keep the Sabbath: the one reason revolved around God’s action in creation, the other around Christ’s work in redemption.

M,JJK,J

Exodus 31

For Ex 31 gives another reason for the Sabbath:
"Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you’" (vs 13).
Here, then, is a third reason beside the first two; Israel must keep the Sabbath because it’s a "sign" to them from God so that they might "know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you."

Israel must keep the Sabbath because God rested in the beginning on the seventh day – that’s Ex 20. Israel must keep the Sabbath because God delivered Israel from their bondage in Egypt – that’s Dt 5. Israel must keep the Sabbath because it’s a sign from God to His people that it’s He who sanctifies them – that’s Ex 31. Yes, it’s confusing….

The Almighty God tells Israel that the Sabbath is given to them as a sign – of what? - of the relationship between the Lord Himself on the one hand and His people on the other. What is that relation? This: "that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you." And "sanctify", we know, means to set apart, to make holy.

God has taken Israel out of Egypt and set them apart, made them different from the Egyptians and the Canaanites and the Moabites, distinct.

What was distinct about Israel; how were they different? This: Israel was God’s special people, and He was their God. And that’s to say that God made His covenant with Israel. The Sabbath was the sign of that relationship between God and this people; the Sabbath was given as a sign of the covenant between the Lord and Israel.

That’s why the Lord also repeats in Ex 31:16 that Israel shall keep the Sabbath, and then God adds that they shall observe it "as a perpetual covenant." As the Lord also says through Ezekiel: the Sabbath is "a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I the Lord am your God" (20:20). ‘I am the Lord your God’, ‘you are My people’:

M,JJK,J

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN ?

You will ask or debate again what has this to do with us we are Christians.I gave you the answer at the beginning the Shabbat law was created for us all at creation it was created for his creation "man" and there are benefits for all in observing it just as was promised to his people.Let us take a walk into the future and I will show you the joy of obedience.

Come christian brothers and sisters this is welcoming you into the kingdom read "THE WORD" of the father which is Christ the living word telling you this through Isaiah the prophet

Isaiah chapter 58
1Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

3Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

4For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

5Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

6Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

7Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar
; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Matt 21:13 Mark 11:17 Luke 19:46

8The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

M,JJK,J

YOU THINK I LIE ? I SHOW YOU ONE MORE TIME

Isaiah chapter 58

13If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

M,JJK,J

A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE ON EARTH'S PARADISE NOT HEAVEN

Isaiah chapter 66
19And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.[/b]

20And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

21And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.

22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
2 Pet 3:13 Isa 65:17

23And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

24And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Conclusion this only to say

For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away [and they still have not!], one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the LEAST of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:17-19).

Mark: 7:7-9
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

1 But these took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt,
42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land.
43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river.
44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over.
45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth.
46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come,

CHRIST

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.

PAUL

We sailed away from Philippos after the ester holidays, and came unto them to Troas in five days, where we abode seven days.
¶ On a saboth day the disciples came to gether for to break bread, and Paul preached unto them (ready to depart on the morrow) and continued the preaching unto midnight.

cool story, bro

Colossians 2:
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 ¶ Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

And neither you nor the fake Jews know on what day the actual Sabbath lies anymore.

Now, go get the beam out of your eye.

lEARN SOMETHING!
The seminarian cup out and the theolgian heretical analogy of this verse is another way satan has entered the christian movement through the edomites converts to christianity. They came in through Rome and Greece and spread their wings throughout the Americas spreading this new religion.

THE HEBREWS CHAPTER 9

1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

Note
The old covenant "HAD ALSO". Right there it tells you that there were things which will be addressed. The following vereses 2 - 15 verses go on to explain the things that were eliminated from the old covenant.

2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9
Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

Note
BELOW FURTHER EXPAINS THE ORDINACES IN THE LAW THAT WAS DONE AWAY WITH VERSE 11- 15

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

LETS STUDY!

Now first things first see who paul was addressing in colossee."THESE WERE FAITHFUL SAINTS[ISRAELITES] & FAITHFUL BRETHREN[GENTILES] WHO OBEYED AND WERE FERVENT IN THEIR LOVE FOR CHRIST"
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,

2 To the saints "AND" faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints

WE GO ON TO CHAPTER 2

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
REMEMBER THE AUDIENCE HE IS ADDRESSING ARE THE SCATTERED TRIBE OF JUDAH LIVING IN COLOSSE.THEY WERE LIVING AS UNGODLY GENTILES 'UNCIRCUMCISED' BEFORE THEY ACCEPTED AND FOLLOWED THE TEACHINGS OF MESSIAH THROUGH PAUL.

AMONGST THEM ALSO WERE DEVOTED GENTILE COLOSSIANS WHO ACCEPTED THE TEACHING OF MESSIAH AND CONVERTED ALSO.

LETS MOVE ON

Colossians 2:16 is one of the most misunderstood passages in the entire New Testament for the reasons stated above.

Verse 14 says, “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us ... nailing it to his cross.”
The law that was “blotted out” and nailed to the cross was not the Ten Commandments or the Sabbath. Luke 16:17-18; Romans 7:7, 12; James 2:10-12.

It was the “handwriting” of the “law” of sacrifices written by “Moses” in “a book” which was a continual witness “against” Israel. Deuteronomy 31:24-26.

This law of sacrifices was “against them” because its very existence was a witness that they had broken the Ten Commandments.

That's why they needed to offer lambs and goats for a blood sacrifice.

THIS ANIMAL SACRIFICING WAS ANULLED BY THE CRUCIFIXION OF THE MESSIAH WHO BECAME THE LAMB OF GOD FOR MANKIND.ON HIS RETURN TO EARTH WE WILL BE CELEBRATING IN PARADISE ALL THE HOLY DAYS AND FEASTS.

SO THESE DAYS ARE TO BE OBSERVED WITH THE DRINKS AND THE DISHES and MEATS ON THESE HOLY DAYS AS THE LORD ASK US TO OBSERVE THEM PASSOVER ROSHASHANA YOM KIPPUR etc.BUT NO MORE ANIMAL SACRIFICES OR BURNT OFFERINGS

“Therefore,” wrote Paul in Colossians 2:16. “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come.”

HERE WE WILL DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN YEARLY AND WEEKLY SABBATHS
Verses 16-17. Paul here refers to the Jeu “feasts AND YEARLY “SABBATHS” Leviticus 23:37, 24, 32, 38.

These yearly sabbaths, like the THE SABBATH DAY OF PASSOVER "NOT THE WEEKLY SABBATH" and the THE SABBATH DAY OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT, "NOT THE WEEKLY SABBATH" Day of Atonement, are “shadows” pointing forward to the future lamb YAHSHUA returning. "There use to be burnt offering and animal sacrifices on these days and meat and drink and celebrating, but the aniaml sacrifices is no longer needed."

YES! there are other holy sabbath days that we acknowledge during the high holy days and often fall during the regular work week

Hebrews 10:1 also affirms that it was the ceremonial law on these yearly sabbaths and “sacrifices” were done which was a “shadow.” of messiah

HERE IS an excellent example of the meaning of Colossians 2:16 in Ezekiel 45:17 and that these feasts were part of the ceremonial law which was carried out as a result of sin.

Ezekiel 45:17 “And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.”

THE WEEKLY SABBATH

The seventh day Sabbath POINTS BACK to the creation of the world and remains in the New Testament and is also a continuing process in our daily lives even in the new kingdom to come. Exodus 20:11; Matthew 24:20; Luke 23:56; Hebrews 4:9. Paul continued to keep this Sabbath truth. Acts 16:13.

May the lord direct you hearts and may you be hmbleto understand his truth...Paul dd not deliberately try to sabotage the book. This was the work of the translators and this is by design

:M,JJK,J:

Genesis 2:2-3 begins to provide the answer in this argument.

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God BLESSED the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made."

:M,JJK,J:

:M,JJK,J:

:M,JJK,J:

:M,JJK,J:

4For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

5Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

6Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

:M,JJK,J:

:M,JJK,J:

Re: UNDERSTANDING OF THE SABBATH AND ITS IMPORTANCE TO ALL MANKIND
Thank you brother. You are a voice in the wilderness. Many churches I attended (mainly baptist) use Paul to defend Sunday "sabbath". I do believe they have it wrong. Paul also says not to let women speak. We may disagree on some of Paul's teachings, but not on the teachings of Christ. When in doubt, I look for the words of the Messiah. Ezekiel 20 warns many times of violating the sabbath, and it is applying today as well. The "churches" need a wake up call. American Christians are becoming goats or tares. We are losing our oil, our first love and becoming apostate rapidly. Becoming equally yoked with the passions of the flesh. I hope that you may offend (not in a bad way either) so that they may see, and open there eyes.
God bless.

Re: UNDERSTANDING OF THE SABBATH AND ITS IMPORTANCE TO ALL MANKIND
Thank you for this post and a reminder for who the Sabbath is for..ALL of mankind.

This is the Sign/ Seal of Sanctifcation. This is the Seal of Revelation 7.
If you do not have the Seal of GOD, then you WILL receive the mark of the Beast. Period. There is no middle ground.

If you know what the Seal od God is then its not too hard to figure what the Mark of the Beast is.

The Evelasting Gospel of Revelation 14:6, 7 is a call to worship HIM who made heavens and earth, the sea and springs of water. The ONLY way to do that is to keep the Sabbath. The 144,000 keep the commandments of God AND have the testimony of Jesus.(which shows they are not Jews)

The big problem with most Christians is that they are clearly confused as to the difference between the Law of Moses ( kept beside the Ark written by the hand of Moses) and the Law of GOD (kept IN the Ark and written by the very finger of GOD himself.)

As for Col. 2: 14 ~ 16. This "written requirement" is a debt certificate. Proof of our sin. God blotted out our debt,( not the Law) nailed the proof of it to the cross when Christ died for us.

The early church kept the Feasts, Sabbaths and Holy Days. The Church at Colosse was regressing into legalism like the jews had instead of keeping these Feasts and Sabbaths as Christ would have us do. These scriptures actually PROVE the Sabbath was kept by the early church. Folks need to understand the background of these letters written to these churches.

~ Matthew 15:24 ~

He answered, “I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

~ Numbers 15:14-16 ~

"If a foreigner stays with you — or whoever may be with you, through all your generations — and he wants to bring an offering made by fire as a fragrant aroma for Adonai, he is to do the same as you. For this community there will be THE SAME LAW FOR YOU AS FOR THE FOREIGNER living with you; this is a PERMANENT REGULATION through all your generations; the foreigner is to be treated the same way before Adonai as yourselves. The SAME TORAH and standard of judgment will APPLY TO BOTH you and the foreigner living with you."

~ Matthew 5:17 ~

“Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to COMPLETE."

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Yeshua IS the Torah. The Torah IS God. The Law of Adonai IS Torah. Therefore, the Law IS God.
