Try vitamin C powder right on and around the tooth for pain relief. Oil of oregano and/or colloidal silver on and around the tooth as an antibacterial. You can also pour/spray the colloidal silver into your nose and let it soak in while it passes to your throat. Worked for me.

several weeks ago, I had an infection. This recipe is famous for getting that abscess down (even beneath a crown tooth)
3 parts Slippery Elm, 2 parts baking yeast, 4 drops cloves, 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper, and open two activated characol capsules and mix. I used all capsule and open them.

Add a little water enough to make a paste. It will be gummy due to the slippery elm. Then pack this mixture around the gum. The slippery elm, and charcoal, draws out the inflammation, the cayenne stimulates the cells around the tooth to release toxins and the cloves are added as a pain remedy, especially toothache. repeat every three to four hours as needed.

NEXT: Back it up by taking two capsules of turmeric in the AM and also two in the PM..TILL SWELING AND PAIN GO AWAY.

Do note should you fall asleep with the paste in your mouth, expect black drippy mess...so try not to fall asleep with paste in your mouth.

I also would chew on fresh raw garlic and shove it up near the swelling. I could stand this for about 1 minute. Raw fresh garlic really burns.

For the oil pulling I did read they used Flax seed oil to reduce the infection. I used coconut oil.

use a strong solution of Listerene in hot water from out of your spigot into the little tank of an electric tooth pic. It may take a while but it will clean out the infection and keep it out as long as you keep using the pic.

I donot know how they spell that, but i think you know what i mean.

Only do it once a day or so, so as to not irritate the inflammed gum etc. You can rinse your mouth with the Listerene as much as you want (full strength).

you can do the rest of your gums/teeth a little more often

Seriously Blackburn... You are risking DEATH and you don't sound like you're in great shape at the moment anyway. I not only have personal experience with this (ended up in EMERGENCY SURGERY having my #2 upper right molar extracted under general anesthesia), but so did my father.

I also had a serious infection throughout my sinus cavity & into my right ear that threatened my brain. I'm in the medical field and ABSOLUTELY know better, but I was worried about the money (which I didn't have). I suffered through unimaginable pain as the nerve in my tooth died - I mean....the worst of the worst of THE WORST Pain you can possibly imagine.

My father let his go and had a BONE INFECTION - and I could write pages of what he had to go through just to control the infection AFTER the tooth was removed. He nearly lost his jaw and had horrific "packing procedures" that packed strips of cloth into the hole in the EXPOSED BONE of his jaw every single day for more than SIX WEEKS. He was on DILAUDID (the strongest pain Rx you can get in the US) and was in AGONY even with it. Just Agony.

Please, please PLEASE go to a proper ORAL SURGEON who is also a physician/MD to have your tooth extracted & get your infection under control.

Rinse mouth with peroxide twice daily. Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C in water at least 2000 or more milligrams per day.

No need to mix you are making it weaker. Use straight peroxide.

Get SilverBiotics from your local GNC or Healthfood store or online. Take 1 tablespoon 2-3 times a day in addition to your antibiotic. You can end up with a condition which is called "Ludwigs Angina". Trust me you don't want this. Make sure they monitor the infection so it does not progress to your heart or brain (if it's a top tooth).
After you notice the symptoms easing you can back down to 1 tablespoon 2 x daily in addition to your antibiotic. Don't stop taking either until after the oral surgery is done and the doctor tells you to stop the antibiotic. Then keep taking the Silverbiotics for another week or two.
I'm not a doctor, but went through this with my spouse and a friend that was a surgeon (who ended up with Ludwigs Angina and almost died). The Silver and the antibiotic will work together to fight the infection. Nice thing is that your body will not become resistant to the silver like it can with antibiotics :). :hf:

Sounds like you got Ludwigs Angina and celluitis. Sounds like an infected Dry socket after extraction, am I right?

I can't believe a reputable dentist or Oral Surgeon would make you wait 3 months. Go to another dentist or oral surgeon!

The peroxide you buy in the regular drugstore is already "mixed" to proper strength.

The one i have here seems to say 3% (all the rest is just water)

We use clove oil and activated charcoal. It works every time as long as you keep at it.

Sometimes we put clove oil on a Q-tip and rub it all around the infected tooth. We'll also take an eye dropper bottle and put about 30 drops of clove oil and then fill it the rest of the way with another oil such as olive oil. Swish it around your mouth for about 10 to 15 minutes. Do this several times a day. We usually continue this for a couple of weeks after the pain has gone away just to make sure it doesn't return.

Take a capsule of activated charcoal and pour it on a moistened cottonball. Leave on infected tooth for about 10 to 15 minutes. Do this 2 or 3 times a day. Once the pain lessens you can reduce the number of times you do it.

I'm just going to say this again for Blackburn and anyone else who might be reading this:

As a medical professional AND a patient who knows the pain, reasons why we delay and the CONSEQUENCES of Failing to Seek PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL INTERVENTION...... IF YOU HAVE ANY SIGNS OF INFECTION DO NOT RELY ON HOME REMEDIES AS YOU LITERALLY RISK DEATH, or at a minimum, serious disfigurement &/or impairment. Infections of the teeth &/or gums readily enter the sinus cavity (depending on your individual anatomical design, your sinus cavity may even be "low", directly on top of the upper teeth/jaw) & only a THIN MEMBRANE Separates the BRAIN from the Sinus Cavity - a THIN MEMBRANE!. Relying on home remedies when you have INFECTION is the WORST decision ANYone can make. Don't promote it - you are NOT HELPING - you literally might KILL SOMEONE WITH YOUR "ADVICE".

I do not say that to mean or nasty......I'm sure no one here would do that on purpose.....so I'm letting you know - INFECTION = MEDICAL INTERVENTION ASAP!!

Yeah, I'm usually one to say stay away from doctors, but in a case like this you probably want to listen to the guy telling you to go get it taken care of.

They can create a drain, they slice into the infection and place a rubber tube in the wound so it can't close. Than for a few days warm compress and push and watch the most disgusting thing ever ooze out. The pain is really the worse thing i've ever felt of having the nerve die slowly.
I would describe it as insanity a humbling experience to say the least. Don't fuck around get it taken care of from a oral surgeon.

my dentist hates I can care for my 3 teeth he wants to pull, they work fine (main teeth too!) I wont let him touch them.

I know someone who had 2 rotten teeth, they literally turned black then broke off and now he has like holes in the gum area. The gum was infected, turned red/swollen but now it's like fine I think. He didn't take antibiotics though, must have hurt for awhile. But yeah, you should go back to the dentist or see a doc. Antibiotics are prob not strong enough.

Wow.... Listerene (w/or without H.peroxide) now rids the body of severe infection? Why don't you donate all of your PenVK, Amox, Zpacks, etc., to me so I can give it to people who want to live - and keep their teeth, face, jaws, vision, hearing, facial muscle....the list goes on. This isn't a toothache from failure to floss & some slight gum irritation - this person has a SEVERE SYSTEMIC INFECTION & needs BOTH Interventional Treatment (Extraction of the tooth at a minimum) AND a heavy dose of Rx Antibiotics - with frequent monitoring by a MEDICAL DOCTOR/ORAL SURGEON.

Not someone with an interest in Holistic Wellness - he's WAAAAYYYYY past that!

2- 500mg amoxicillin caps in the morning and 2 at night. That's 4- 500mg caps per day for a week and it will be gone. Get it on ebay...sold as fish antibiotics, get the ones that USP grade, it's the same as the drugstore quality.
