I went to the er with such horrid pain in my face, jaw, gums. The inflammation was so bad that my teeth werent even lining up anymore when i tried to chew. I argued with the dr who insisted i needed to see a dentist - on monday! I told him it wouldnt hurt them any to xray my head. sure enough, every sinus cavity in my head was fully impacted with infection. They got me laying down asap and put two bags of antibiotics into me through IV. My advice to you, op: take some ibuprofen. take three. extra strength. ANd then wait. As the inflammation begins to subsidea little, the worst pain will linger at the site of the problem. It may help you determine where the pain is originating from. |

I had the same problem last year during allergy season. Couldn't tell if it was the tooth or sinuses. Is the tooth sensitive to hot/cold? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23829712 Sudafed YES! It's been the only thing that has really helped the pain pressure but it doesn't last very long and I'm not sure if it's good to be taking it for so long. My teeth also don't seem to be sensitive to hold or cold Although on one of the teeth in question (back molar) I did have a root canal on a couple of years ago. |
