Actually you are mistaken, sex education itself is not the problem. What do you think they are taught to have sex with no protection and get pregnant? Tp the contrary, sex education actually
tried to teach them to be responsible.
There needs to be a balance of both, in any case religion should be thought by the family not by school.

It was tried and ended up a complete failure.
All it did was cause them to WANT to have sex before they should
these are CHILDREN we talk about here ; NOT adults.
They experimented with their young impressionable minds and the result is

Kids don't need to learn about sex in school
they need to learn
how to read, write correctly, do math well and think critically
these are things left out of the picture now
and the result is
illiteracy , poor math scores and kids who get out of high school who know how to drink do drugs ; have sex but can't spell or write a correct sentence.
