One followed me for about 20 miles about a football field away in Utah at night.
It gave me one incredible light show before speeding off. In the distance I could see it shining a light on the desert floor after it lost interest in me about 8 to 10 miles away. It got there in just seconds.
It was a disk about 500 feet to my right almost level to me considering its size which was probably a half a football field circumference or a little less.
This is a true account. It happened about 4 years ago starting at the Bonneville Salt flats. It continued on for 15 to 20 miles. When I decided to pull over, it sped off in a split second.

OP, here is an earlier experience with the mantis. This was directly from my journal I was keeping at the time.

Two nights ago I had a very vivid nightmare of alien invasion. Woke up suddenly, heart pounding. Checked my analog watch on my wrist and was surprised to be able to read it in the dark (it has glow in the dark numbers, not tritium. usually goes dim after 30 mins in the dark) Went to the kitchen for some water and noticed the digital clock on the stove was an hour and a half ahead of my wristwatch. So I had to wonder about that. reset my analog wristwatch to the correct time. Cellphone and stove clock matched. So for some reason my $100 analog wristwatch lost an hour and a half and was still glowing 3 hours after going to bed. I wind it every morning and night and did check the time before i went to bed. Freaky to say the least.

i came out of a person, got grabbed by some other people and have been stuck in this undefined flying object for 25 years.

surrounded by creatures that only copy egotistical patterns they see in a box, condemned for having orignal ideas and questions.

i see aliens all the time.

Just a month ago I set off the scanners going through TSA. The pot-bellied idiot stopped me, had me back up, do it again. Then said "what's that metal thing below your left knee". I pulled up my pants leg and turned around twice to satisfy the jackass. And then I remembered that back in 1996 I had something erupt on my right knee which I scratched bloody and eventually pulled out a strange tiny seed that was a hard as a rock. I went to the dermatologist and he cleaned up the area and said he'd never seen anything like what he'd pulled out of it. It was whitish, almost plastic type material. I have a huge scar there. Well, no more than three days later (after the dermatologist), the spot on my lower left leg, calf area, which got me stopped by TSA last month, appeared out of nowhere. It is deep, always red, and under a magnifying glass looks like something was punched in with a small, sharp four-pointed tool. It's as if they came right behind me, implanted me again but deep enough to be a reminder not a fuck with it. I have no memory of the encounter, but for the last month I have been adding things up all the way to childhood.

I saw my first and only a couple years ago, and my daughter was with me and saw it too. We were coming home at dusk, and there was a dark bank of clouds coming in, yet there was a *star* shining bright, like Venus. and i was like huh? It's cloudy out, right? Just then, a lightening bolt came down and around the thing, and it took off, to its right, turned a shade of red and was emitting was appeared to be electrical shocks, or bolts off of it..... As we drove home, we could see the *star* appearing at various placed in the sky....far away, then nearer, then farther again.

Wow, I have never even heard of anything like that.

1970= On My paper route. 4:30 Dark Sunday morning all I can recall is like several flashes, extreme fear, looked up and a light as big as tennis ball held at arms length behind light overcast. The light was stationary for a split second then moving southwest at 1500 to 2000 mph. No noise. It was just before sun up when I rode my bike out of that driveway. I know there is missing time. Still bugs me today. 1976 Febuary= ON Morro Rock Sequoia National Park 2:00 am an orange light heading west in the canyon no noise. March 1997= The Phoenix lights= Came in from the north over North Mountain Park over our house banking toward Tempe and Mesa direction. Definitly big and no noise. The gunnery range is to the southwest of our house and 20 to 25 miles away, so it was not flares dropped by the military. 26 December 1999= My Brother called Me as He was just 2 houses down leaving at about 10:00 PM I ran to his car and He was pointing to a red light traveling east slowly and dropping tiny lights that shot off in several directions. Almost like StarTrek NG probe launches. After 5 or 6 tiny lights the main light shot off beyond the horizon in 1 second. All the tiny light probes were red also! I do say that there is something out there. Good or bad I say both! Have a nice day. From the land of Sherriff Joe!

Here is my story;

2009, Hinton, Alberta, Canada- Rocky Mountains. It was about 19:30 and I was working on a drilling rig.

The sky was clear and every star was out. I went around the back of my trailer to take a piss. While I am standing there holding myself, I see a *star. However the star was moving quickly from the right side of the sky to the left. So it could not have been a star, it was moving WAY too fast to be a satelite. So it must have been a comet I figured.

Only problem was, that the comet came to a complete stop right in front of my eyes. It sat motionless for a moment before moving about eradicly within a small section of space. It zig zagged all over, leaving tracers behind it. The object did so for about 30 seconds, then it stopped again, before slowly continuing on its way to the left of my vision until it was out of site.

WTF!?

...They probably have a picture of my wang on an alien porn site now.

In all seriousness though, that seems to be a common experience.

I had a real strange one. I was heading down a road and saw something in front of me in the sky. It was moving real slow, but was too far away to see what it was.

I came to a stop light and looked back up at it. It was still real far away and I couldn't see it clearly.

It was going from my right to left. Then, from my viewpoint, it went behind the stop light. I waited for it to come out from behind the stop light...and waited...and waited.

I thought it must have just flown away or something. Then, it came out from behind the stop light! It took way, way too long for it to travel behind the stop light. The light turned green and I went left and lost sight of it.

It was one of those things that is 100% unexplainable. Just chalk it up to another strange sighting.

Conclusion from this thread - aliens absolutely do exist and are at least more likely to contact you if you want them to.

My only concern is how the heck are we supposed to know if they are actually good or not?

That's the problem, isn't it...

But, we have that same issue with meeting people, so that part shouldn't distressed you too much, IMO.

My wife once told me that her dad saw UFO upclose. Not sure what exactly he saw but that would explain why he has a bookcase full of UFO books. I guess he was looking for answers of what he saw.

I would like to offer my story and if anyone has an opinion on the following, i am glad to read it. It's been several years for me to even begin to think that the story was more than a simple dream.

My grandmother passed away in the mid 80's. I was vey close to her (she helped raise all of us) and though I was in my thirties (36) -- and she in her 80's (88) -- it was still shocking to me and I was very sad that it was her time to go. ( I know these were selfish feelings..and she was looking forward to her time to "go" -- but nonetheless, those were my feelings.)

Following her death, within a scope of years, life went on. Children growing up, birthday, graduations, you get the picture. However, one night over a decade following my grandma's death, I had what at first i thought was a dream. Nothing precipitated it. No drugs, no drinking or heavy meals. No illness.

I fell asleep easily.

Suddenly, I found myself standing in front of my poor grandma. The moment I saw her, my very heart, soul...my entire being was just flooded with sadness, loving compassion, and empathy for her. There she was, my grandma: naked! She was laying on a steel table with several 'beings' surrounding her. I do not recall if these 'beings' were human or not, but I do remember that as their vertical heights seemed to be that of an average woman or man standing. Their 'waists,' if you will, seem to come to mid table. (Picture OR (operating room) style visual.) I was several feel away from her and in the mist or ethers of this presentation, I was standing with some people or beings. I do not know now nor did I recognize then who these others were. I was part of what could be thought of as an observation team, Simply put, I was there as an observer.

My grandma saw me and I her, I could feel more than hear her. In my mind i knew that she wanted me to assist her or help her or remove her out of the position and place she was in. This is knew I could not do. I felt terrible and I tried to convey this to her as I looked directly at her. I was crying in my soul, my heart was breaking. Here was my beloved grandma, the one who had helped me many many times throughout my life. My grandma, lying naked on a cold, steel gray slab of a table with (in my mind's eye) not very benevolent "things/people" around her, and I could do nothing to assist.

To this day, that feeling of helplessness and quiet abandon saddensme. I awoke with a start and with tears in my eyes. Until this day, I have told not a soul.

So, was an encounter with aliens? Was it a simple dream. Do we actually really have dreams or are we out walking among the ethers in the middle of the night... traveling to other dimensions, time warps, wide spaces and indigo starts and stops? Is this what our spirit does when learning--here on earth-- our soul's adventure and progress expanding in an unconscious state of mind? Perhaps we grow into our real selves after the sun goes down and the moon shines bright and the school bell rings for true learning to begin? Dreams or reality? Reality or dreams? Lucid dreaming? Lucid reality?

Okay. This seems like a portent to me so here goes.

First let me say I'm a regular and frequent visitor to the site. Read a lot, post very little.

This is the site where I check for the news of the world, no matter how obscure it would seem. I saw the Boston explosion on Yahoo and went straight here, not CNN or Fox.

So, about a week ago, I had an experience that has changed my life irrevocably.

I shall use the term "awakening" as it seems apt to the current analysis of my reality, such as it is.

After these events of 12:00 A.M on April 7, 2013, I will never percieve anything the same again.

My sleeping pattern has altered considerably since the 7th. As well as other aspects of my being.

Another portent was the postings earlier on NDEs. I started to relay this story then, but resigned myself as I'm still coming to terms with it. It still doesn't seem real.

To the OP who started this thread, I tell you I see this as a thought/time junction to relay this story to you and the GLP users at large and therefore you can take it for what it is worth.

Sadly, Linear Time is 'getting away from me' just now as I have an appointment to keep and there is much to tell, I want to try to do it justice. I will be back to post my story in an hour.

was visually tracking what i thought to be a fast moving satellite at night by a lake on vancouver island, it change direction came closer (could not discern shape) until it was directly overhead at which point it flashed a very bright blue light, then kept moving until it was out of sight

My experience with aliens is that I was abducted by the greys when I was 9 years old.

I know that no one will ever belive me on this tho...

I believe it was reality. Since childhood, been visited, taken aboard, and laid naked on just such tables, with 3 or 4 "grays" standing over me.

Try not to feel so saddened by this dream, instead I think it was a message from your grandma. My personal beliefs and experiences is that when we experience realistic dreams, they are real and happen in an alternate reality/dimension/timeline or something. Also death; when we die from this world we can go to that place or to somewhere else, our choice. The visitors follow genetic lines. I think your dream was this, just my opinion:

Your genetic lineage is of interest to the aliens. Your grandma was an abductee. Therefore you probably are too, whether you remember or not. Dreams of flying cars, round rooms, Asian doctors, strange hospitals, owls, animals with big eyes, can all be "screen memories" where something happened to us that is so unbelievable that our minds fill in the blanks but the uncomfortable emotions are the key that there is more to the story.

It is free will. If we are abductees, no matter how terrifying we think it is, we did agree to it on some level, maybe pre-birth, maybe in an alternate reality. It's like the Bashar video above says, when do things to us it's like us taking Fido to the vet; he is terrified and doesn't understand but you have a reason for what you're doing. I have been on that metal table and seen others on that metal table and yeah, it looks horrific. I can't imagine seeing your poor grandmother naked on that table. But I believe she, now in the afterlife, is showing you that it happened to her, and probably to you too, and it's okay despite appearances. There is a reason they do this. It took me years to grasp and they kept telling me telepathically that it's for the future of Earth, that they are choosing certain lineages for their specific qualities, mostly caring for Earth, compassion, gentleness, peacefulness and they choose people to carry on these qualities (like we breed dogs for specific traits). I didn't believe them because my daughter insisted she would never have kids. They showed me a scene of my daughter older, standing at the controls of a ship, smiling broadly and telling me excitedly that they taught her how to fly the ship. Then she turned to show me she was very pregnant.

About 10 years later she married and had a baby. And she looked exactly how they showed me she would. Now she has 2 kids. So now I believe they are concerned about the future of our planet and follow certain family lines, though my daughter insists I am nuts. Her 4-year-old boy, though, tells me about the little guys who take him flying in his dreams.

Do you have children? I think you will, and your grandma is letting you know that all of this is not only okay, but it is wonderful, it means a brighter, better future for all.

To the victims: any abduction attempts can be prevented by invoking the name of Jesus Christ. Look it up please. If you have ongoing experiences and you are practicing any witchcraft or the occult, stopping that would be highly recommended.
