I really don't know how we are supposed to persuade you? People handle stress differently. There are also a lot of different factors as to when a person actually goes into shock. All we have to go on is 2 pictures.
When I was younger, I got kicked in the face by a horse. (yes let the jokes begin lol) They say when I stood up, I grabbed my face and just stood there, bleeding everywhere. Didn't move. It wasn't until I saw my face in the mirror of the ex-ray machine that I truly flipped out. I remember there was NO PAIN in my face until after surgery.

So glad for a thread that mentions Sandy Hook school. I was at a baby shower last week. Took my mom who is elderly.

When we left a very attentive man (middle aged I guess) walked my mom by her hand to my car. He had told me earlier that he had left Conn. 14 years ago. So as he was helping my mom into the passenger side, I asked him what he thought about the Sandy Hook 'shooting' and if he thought it was real. He said that he had a friend whose child escaped.

He went from nice and attentive to a big rage all within 3 seconds. He said I guess you one of those people who think the gov. blew up the twin towers. I did not respond as I could see he was getting heated up. He pulled up his sleeve to show me a tattoo that said simply "9/11". He was wailing and raging.

I must say that he really got HIMSELF into that state. I really did nothing but ask him if he thought Sandy Hook was real. He continued on to blow himself out of shape.

I'm glad my mom was already all the way in the car and seated. He slammed my door so hard, it would have crushed anyone's arm had it been in the way. As he was raging, he said "you just go back to whatever book you read, etc."

My mom said "what was THAT about?". She doesn't hear well so she really did not hear the exchange, etc.
