The guy is Nick Vogt, a double amputee after being injured in Afghanistan. The tibia is more than six inches too long - completely out of proportion. The bomb made a big boom and a lot of white smoke, but it didn't contain shrapnel and was not an incendiary. The wound pictured is impossible.
