However on a serious note, this sounds like a copy cat crime. Probably a small homegrown terrorist organization. Could be middle eastern, Mexican, or American. Terrible situation guys, no matter how bad of a politician you think someone may be, no one deserves to be murdered for any reason. They need to catch whoever is doing this pretty quick.
