Anonymous Coward User ID: 8196515 United States 04/26/2013 05:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the real problem i see here are the others on stage with him. they should be ashamed. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16648993 What??? Look, if it were a surprising and shocking medical emergency they all would have stopped playing immediately and rushed to his aid. It was quite obvious that everyone on stage knew exactly what his problem was, and they appeared to be disgusted and trying to ignore it... Like the big elephant in the middle of the room which nobody wants to talk about: HE WAS WASTED...!!! |

I think this is a true health related incident. I hope he's ok!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28247147 Maybe u right, but he looked OD'd to me... don't get me wrong, I've watched him live onstage since early 80's... GD, Kingfish, Ratdog... Like the tunes.. |

He got dosed by surprise once, had a bad trip, and after that he would not have any more of that... That's why it's hard to see him like this. He was the athletic one. I hope he's OK just like you!! Oops sorry mods, forgot to post links... Here ya go: [link to www.youtube.com] [link to www.youtube.com] Ummm, not to bad mouth anyone, especially Bobby, but that's not quite what I remember. Here he is tripping balls 32 years ago. [link to www.youtube.com] This is the COMPLETE (15 min) and 1st appearance of Jerry Garcia & Bob Weir on the David Letterman Show. It was on 4/13/82, during the Grateful Dead's Spring Tour, on a night off between shows at Nassau and Glens Falls, NY. The introduction is funny with Letterman "teaching" Jerry how to play "Proud Marry" on acoustic guitar... Afterwards, Jerry and Bobby revealed terrific humor in describing SF in the "early years", the GD community, "Dead Heads" et al... Hilarious and classic stuff. In the middle (towards 5:55), they perform a first acoustic song "Deep Elem Blues" and then another acoustic song "Monkey & The Engineer" starting at 12:39. PS : Bobby seemed to have a terrible "cold" [link to www.youtube.com] We all breathe the same air. .-.. --- ...- . / .- .-.. .-.. |

Quoting: Just Some Guy He kind of teetered a little bit, but he didn't go down. I don't think the vid shows the entire incident... Apparently they finally sat him down in the red chair and he fell out from there, guitar and all. I have not seen that part, must review OP's links again... |

Seriously Thats so wrong Maybe they know the reason for this (Heroin, Benzodiazepin, etc) and are really angry because this happened too many Times already? BINGO Wrong, Bob has been basically clean and sober for a very long time and never got involved with Heroin. He is a work horse, plain and simple. I am pullin for you Bobby. Maybe side effects from prescribed drugs......or just plain fatigue. They were just at the end of a 9 show gig.....weren't they??? Kind of intense for people that age. |

This wasn’t overpartying, btw, it was accidentally taking an ambien instead of a painkiller… the shoulder injury is real, & the white guitar just showed up the last couple of shows because it only weighs 3 or 4 lbs [link to www.jambands.com] We all breathe the same air. .-.. --- ...- . / .- .-.. .-.. |
