Sheesh, good question VG, I'm losing count, I'd have to check the records. Off hand this month I think there was
Arkansas, California, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Missouri,Kansas and Florida.

Hey DBrose

I wonder if Atma's going to be able to check in. He may have been in one of the areas without power. Anybody hear from him in the last few hours?

Yup, I saw those clouds over NC late this afternoon. Really nasty looking.

Unusual 'cause we don't have many tornados in that area.

I'm in western SC at the NC border.

Re: Tornadoes reported in North Carolina.
Yea WW it definately is. So far the numbers have been up, but the strength of most of them have been low. I'm still worried that we may see the strength increase in these as we move further into the season now.

I was watching it on radar earlier, looked like the line went just north of you 82694. I saw Horry county in SC got some high winds also. Kind of makes you wonder what the Hurricane season is going to have in store for the Carolinas this year.

Here you go WtW, you can see here that May is usually the strongest month when it comes to the "killer" tornadoes. End of April and early to mid-may seems to be when the strongest cells hit.

Re: Tornadoes reported in North Carolina.
Yea they've got a bit of a winter storm going up there. A couple of hail reports, but no wind damage that I've seen. There's another convective front forming. Tomorrow is another story, looks like a moderate chance of tornadoes in the Missouri area again.

cheers MM

I had some severe boomers close but the worst seemed to miss my exact location. The tornados were east of me right on the coast.

Been a very quiet storm season here so far. We are in somewhat of a drought and it's expected to get worse.

Re: Tornadoes reported in North Carolina.
MM- I only missed my prediction by 1 or 2 states. I thought for sure that cold front would have some wrap around, and hit Arkansas, and Tennessee. But it made a bee line for NC.

Atma: I lived in Concord for 6 years. Nice City.
