Our bodies are our temple and should indeed be reflected on and taken care of..the bible CLEARLY says this. Aligning our spiritual energies or chakras is important don't ya think? Or should we just not give a shit about our bodies because you think only our "spirit" matters? I recall something in the bible about being slothly is a sin or something of that nature. That would mean not caring for our bodies, no?! Most people just do not have the understanding to see thru the parables... And believe Him when He says many will come in his name saying Lord Lord... And He will deny then... There's a vid on youtube of a Catholic exorcist [he was the advisor on the set of the movie "The Rite"]. He uses an adult medium frequently while doing exorcisms because they can perceive dark identities sometimes faster than he can. He also uses lay people in a prayer team, a psychiatrist, and a medical doctor while performing exorcisms. I have no doubts that some people have extraordinary gifts.

By the way, he performs exorcisms on hallowed ground as apposed to Father Malachi Martin who sometimes performed exorcisms in people's homes. Both of these priests used a team and did not go into an exorcism alone.

The Bible does not say a thing about Chakras. It does talk about magic/witchcraft, which I have experimented with and I do belive it is evil, but only because it is the age-old problem of a human trying to rely on themselves and control their lives instead of depending on and trusting in God. Chakras are not magic, are not evil, and are not demons, etc. They are actual nerve clusters/pressure points that exist in your body. Whether or not they are related to a spiritual body is up for you to decide/figure out. I belive that Chakras can be a tool that God uses to heal some people. Everyone is different, so God interacts with them in different ways. Whether through visions, music , reading/writing, meditation, prayer, yoga, aromatherapy, devotion, massage, volunteering, Chi, sermons, mass, nature, etc. The Bible was NOT designed to keep you from knowing your true self. It is the word of God and is meant to help you find it in Jesus Christ and if using meditation helps you do that, go for it. And a True Christian is anyone who believes in and worships Jesus Christ, which could be a Mormon, catholic, Jehovah's Witness, Jew, etc. No one has all the right beliefs, but that is okay! We are not supposed to know everything. The Bible does say "do not rely on your own understanding" because human understanding is extremely limited and warped. By the way, no "true christian" can possibly have as much hate in their hearts as some of you obviously do. We do not get to judge who is or is not a Christian because we cannot see others' hearts.

I searched this discussion and this comment was the most helpful! Scripture; that is exactly what was needed. I struggle with controlling things, when I need to let God have the control. I forget sometimes when we feel out of sorts there is a spiritual lesson to be learned . Sometimes it is patience and trust, I have many friends who use mantras and crystals to heal them spiritually. Honestly for me reading the scripture , prayer, and having my brothers and sisters pray for and with me has always been successful. I usually come out of the storm thankful for the transformation that blossomed during the storm... And then I can help others when they are going through it. Remember When u are a Christian you will not always feel happy , because we love in a flawed world , but we have peace and joy in the promise of heaven and one day all tears will be wiped away! There will be no more sorrow .. Hang in there
