Another strong shock centered in southeastern Missouri, that of October 31, 1895, near Charleston, was felt in Louisiana. This earthquake was considered the most severe in the region since the 1811 - 1812 series. Twenty-three states in all experienced this shock, the total felt area exceeding one million square miles. It pulled water from Vermilion Bay, several miles away, and left shrimp boats on land at Delcambre docks before belching water and boats back out, reversing flow into the bay. a little late [link to www.thenewsstar.com] |

The people in charge of the sinkhole are slow in releasing test results so we don't know if the oil in the sinkhole is related to the BP oil spill, so how will we ever know if that bubbling is something that isn't natural. |

More importantly look at the trees farther away from the hole. Around the 1:11 mark. It seems the dead trees indicate an area of future holes. I moved in with my elderly parents after my dad had a stroke 2 years ago. Now we are like the three muscateers. I kept buying gallons of water and can goods each time I went for groceries and if on-sale stacks of bottled water...finally Mama politely asked whats up with all the water. I finally came out and told her. I think it went well, the other day she was talking to a real estate lady. I asked why? She said , I was reading and we need a bug-out place...hehe true story! Well enough about me. |

Who can really feel comfortable living on top of a massive reserve of multi flammable substances mixed with ground support made of salt. It might have worked then but we can all see those days are gone forever. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5070268 GFG, A lot of people down there are not concerned at all. No explosion though.. just expansion and probably just my imagination. |
