What other books were omitted from the Bible like Enoch?
I just found out about the book of Enoch, looks interesting, is there other books that were omitted or that go along with the Bible?
John 4:4 "because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
Psalm 32:1 "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered."
James 4:4 "Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."
John 15:18-19 "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of this world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."

The "Gospel of Thomas" is very interesting if you believe in Jesus

Another point of view about Book of Enoch-
" The Book of Enoch is an apocryphal and pseudepigraphic text. It is falsely ascribed to Enoch. Produced probably sometime during the second and first centuries B.C.E., it is a collection of extravagant and unhistorical Jewish myths, evidently the product of exegetical elaborations on the brief Genesis reference to Enoch. This alone is sufficient for lovers of God’s inspired Word to dismiss it."

The omitted books were the ones God did not intend to be a part of the final canon of Scripture.

Look into the Isaiah 66 chapters/ Bible 66 books connection.

The omitted books were the ones the Rotten Roman cult that operates at the Vatican did not intend to be part of the final canon.

The same Rotten Roman cult then included the epistles of the false prophet Saul in direct opposition to Almighty yahweh's Torah, Prophets, Psalms, testimonies of Yahshua and Revelation.

"The Roman Catholic Church claims responsibility for the decision as to which books should be included in the Bible canon, and reference is made to the Council of Carthage (397 C.E.), where a catalog of books was formulated. The opposite is true, however, because the canon, including the list of books making up the Christian Greek Scriptures, was already settled by then, that is, not by the decree of any council, but by the direction of God’s holy spirit—the same spirit that inspired the writing of those books in the first place. Re: What other books were omitted from the Bible like Enoch?
I admit that all I know about the Book of Enoch is from the source I linked above. I've learned that I can trust that source, but realize that it took me a long time to figure that out.
But really, do we draw the line somewhere? Are you suspicious because the writings of Bob Dylan aren't included, or Richard Nixon? Is there a legitimate Bible Canon of books genuinely inspired by God, that both includes and excludes what it should? How would we expect it to be determined?
The way the Bible Canon came to be, described in this article, [link to wol.jw.org] sounds about as trustworthy as I could hope for.

The Books of the Wars of Yahweh is a lost book, referenced in the Old Testament.

I have a hunch that if it were found, it would read a lot like the Bhagavad Gita.

Well I think the "Approved" books and the "Not Approved" books is just another version of Banned Books.

You can read this...But you can't read that?

Well, I prefer to decide for myself what to read, and what not to read.

Although I appreciate another mans expertise, they are likely driven by their agendas, peer pressures, and personal bias.

If some folks had their way they would BURN every book they personally did not approve of?

Destroy every religious Icon they did not approve of.

Cover-up all archaeological evidence that did not fit their paradigm.

Silence every contrary opinion.

Re: What other books were omitted from the Bible like Enoch?
The general term for books that were once considered to be part of the bible, but have since been removed, is 'apocrypha'. The books that remained are described as 'canon' or 'canonical'.

There are books both in the new (Christian) and old (Hebrew, Jewish, including your book of Enoch) testaments that are apocryphal.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

It is definitely worth researching the context of each book to see what people wanted it to remain in the canon, and what people wanted to kick it out, as well as issues in Judaism or Christianity at that time.

For instance, the Book of Enoch was popular in the years leading up to the birth of Christ, but talks a great deal about angels and their organization and politics. However, strong belief in the importance of angels seems to have gone out of favor within 100 years or so of Jesus's death, so the anti-angel sect may have pushed for Enoch's exclusion.

Re: What other books were omitted from the Bible like Enoch?
There were hundreds of sects in Egypt when the Romans were collecting texts there that became the Bible. Christianity was invented in Egypt and has nothing reall to do wit Israel.

There were literally hundreds of contradictory sects having thousands of Books an texts that were combinations of Gnosticism,Zoroasterism,Ancient Khemetic Spiritual beliefs etc. and other Greek and Persian religious beliefs.

The Romans picked and edited many and compiled the Bible and created Christianity. After some conferences to give it structure the promptly went to Egypt and tortured and killed all of the sects and burned their books and texts, keeping only the ones that they wanted to keep hidden in the Vatican for a later Religion that is to yet come.

Europeans over the years have written frauds for get rich quick schemes and to garner fame or a followings.

In the 20th century a group of texts were found buried in a pot probably from he Romans, they are called the Nag Hammadi.

Statements by scholars on these noncanonical books:

“There is no question of any one’s having excluded them from the New Testament: they have done that for themselves.”—M. R. James, The Apocryphal New Testament, pages xi, xii.

“We have only to compare our New Testament books as a whole with other literature of the kind to realize how wide is the gulf which separates them from it. The uncanonical gospels, it is often said, are in reality the best evidence for the canonical.”—G. Milligan, The New Testament Documents, page 228.

“It cannot be said of a single writing preserved to us from the early period of the Church outside the New Testament that it could properly be added to-day to the Canon.”—K. Aland, The Problem of the New Testament Canon, page 24.

Romans invented the Jews??

Rome was a village when Abraham was told by 'God' to whack his infant son!

The Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Truth and the Treatise On Resurrection clearly demonstrate that the official Christian religious establishment does not have one clue about the Teaching of Jesus; having sacrificed the Truth to the metaphysical idolatry of the Pharisee-Satanist, apostle OF the Gentiles, Paul; which resulted in the Crusades, the Inquisition and the Holocaust.
