There's nothing out of ordinary about people getting shot in New Orleans. This is just silly

I live less than a mile from the neighborhood the shooting was in. I heard the gunshots as I was outside at the time. NOT a false flag. Just another Sunday second line shooting.

This happens frequently here. The community holds these little parades in their neighborhoods weekly. These shootings happen at least once a month. Last week a woman was killed after a second line. This is not like a parade with floats. These are small groups of people and brass bands and Mardi Gras Indians.

19 people shot and no one dead? This is also common place in these shootings. They are usually gang initiations or personal pay back. It's not about race. It is about culture. New Orleans is different that most places that we are a bunch of small cosmos in the larger universe of NOLA. The indivudual neighborhoods have their own culture. They have their own way of doing things. Unfortunately in some neighborhoods that is shooting and killing each other over meaningless reasons.

Not trying to diminish it. It sucks. After living here for 20 years though I realized a long time ago that 80% of the crime was within the culture itself and did not affect most of us here who do not live in that culture.

Let me tell you how much in the culture it is. I live here. I found out about it from someone who lives across the country after seeing a nationally sensationalized story about it.

Those of us who live here did not even hear about it until someone from somewhere else told us about it. On the local news it was a big deal. 19 is a lot. Usually it is only a few. But it was not sensationalized like it was on national news. This is not a school or theater shooting. This is normal culture round here.

The video brings up a good point at the 3:00 mark and it's the first thing I thought of too seeing the picture.

That is what is ironic and stupid about it, and why every time they pull one we see people demanding and getting more gun rights through state legislation.

People who are going to shoot and kill a bunch of people aren't going to care if it is illegal to have certain gun in a certain situation anyway, and the only way to stop it is if we allow responsible law abiding citizens the ability to defend themselves by being armed defensively. Imagine if several teachers had been armed at Columbine. The gov black ops would have been exposed.
