It sure feels like it sometimes. Are the Gnostics right? If so, how to get out of this existence and back to reality?

No. Mother Nature is real for sure. But there is a HUGE deception going on. But that you probably already have understood.

Not just a gnostic thing.....I am a christian and acknowledge that this could be the case.

I mean if we are eternal souls, then this physical world must be an illusion, the real world awaits us after this life.

Do not idolize Jesus Christ, Do not worship "The way". Ask Jesus directions, follow him, walk "the way" from point A to B, from outside the gate to inside, ....and meet God the Father. Stay there, enjoy the honeymoon, and return back to earth as ambassador of heaven.

Re: Are we living in an illusionary existence as Gnostics believe?
It is described as an 'illusion' to keep it rather simple

but when it is explained in detail, illusion is a broad word to use, although accurate.

Human beings have developed their 5 senses over many thousands of years, senses worked well in the past, but are not an accurate way of translating what reality 'really' is.

Conventionally, the senses are regarded as physical entities (eyes, ears, tongue, nose, fingers and skin) that gather raw data, which is then processed and refined by specific regions of the brain to create the particular sensation presented to our consciousness. So, neither the physical sensory organs nor the brain regions which process the sensory data can do the job on their own. However, there’s yet another twist to the story. We actually have two sensory systems: one located in the left hemisphere of the brain, and the other located in the right brain.

If you could see reality for what it is it would be radically different, like in the film The Matrix:

Neo: Is that... (looking at the Matrix code on a computer screen)
Cypher: The Matrix? Yeah.
Neo: Do you always look at it encoded?
Cypher: Well you have to. The image translators work for the construct program. But there’s way too much information to decode the Matrix. You get used to it. I... I don’t even see the code. All I see is blonde, brunette, red-head.

Re: Are we living in an illusionary existence as Gnostics believe?
Morpheus: What is real? How do you define real? If you’re talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. This is the world that you know. The world as it was at the end of the twentieth century. It exists now only as part of a neural-interactive simulation that we call the Matrix. You’ve been living in a dream world, Neo. This is the world as it exists today.... Welcome to the Desert of the Real.

The Matrix doesn’t go deep enough. When it talks about electrical signals, it’s still in the world of physics and materialism. There is no physicality at all. All that exists is mathematical information (wave patterns) being interpreted by subjective minds. From that interpretation, the material world appears. The material world is just a convenient way of presenting incredibly complex wave patterns. That way of interpreting information proved successful in evolutionary terms. Had it not, we would be “seeing” reality in a totally different way, as our ancestors most certainly did.
The “reducing valve” of our consciousness creates the “material” interpretation of reality with which we have become so familiar. True reality is just an incomprehensible blur of overlapping, interfering sine and cosine waves.

you are living in a reality that is stronger than steel.

if you don't like it...its probably something you did but cannot come to terms to admitting...like Ariel Castro.

but you'll soon get the help you need in understanding.

Re: Are we living in an illusionary existence as Gnostics believe?
It's not illusionary.

Think of a spectrum of color, is Yellow illusionary?

No, of course not, but red is superior and violet is inferior by location.

We are supposed to be in the red spectrum, but we are between Yellow and Violet.

I use rainbows as anology, don't come at me with all colors are wonderful and not superior or anterior to anything.

As a matter of fact, colour IS purely a construct of the human mind, & that fact about colour is a perfect example of the way we see 'reality' as our physical senses interpret it, rather than what it actually is.

What is 'colour' to a colour-blind person?

this reality isn't going to fall on its own accord any time in your near futures.

the enemies of this reality got about 35 days to figure something out.

if they don't...we're gonna have an assfucking good time.

Everything you experience is a real experience. In this sense there is no illusion.

However, there is more reality than we see. detox your body and mind, become internally clear, meditate, and practice love, you'll begin to see the other world

Just to clarify - are they, the 'enemies' - going to be DOING the ass-fucking or getting ass-fucked? Cuz if it's the former, then I would like to sign up to be an "enemy." And if the latter, well, I'm on your side!

OP, read Phil Dick's VALIS trilogy and find out something about his exigesis. The introduction of the word "matrix" was cut out of one of his lectures and posted on youtube, from a couple decades ago. It will all fall into place, if you're patient.

When you're done, you will be far along the road of answering your own questions.

It is an illusion in the sense that it is not what we were meant for. We are being used by others to maintain a reality.

We have confused the ruler with that which is being measured. Matter is that ruler. We believe it to be real, and mistakenly taken mathematics as being the tool to measure it
