Please understand that we cannot let ourselves become victims. We cannot allow ourselves to take criticism, which the world doles out in ample supply, and let it change the way we see ourselves. We can strive to be better, but progress comes slowly and usually as a result of overcoming numerous trials and tribulations.

Take pride in small accomplishments. Look at yourself as important because you are. Know that you have the capability to do great things whether they touch one persons life or hundreds of millions of others. Know that you are a human being and that you deserve the respect of others if you provide others with respect. Go the distance, never give up.

If you feel the symptoms that you've described as a result of your mindset, or your surroundings, or because of an uncertain future, as bad as it may be, it would be wise to work to make some corrections. Just remember a few things:

1. You control your emotions. It's not the other way around. Sure, it sometimes feels like impending doom is descending right on top of you, but NO ONE knows exactly what you're thinking or feeling. Take that time to get a hold of the situation.

2. Don't listen to the people who say you are weak and to SNAP OUT OF IT. Unfortunately, it is not that easy. You aren't at all weak, you just react to certain stimulus in a way that you don't prefer. Know that with practice you can change that. You are in control.

3. Ignore the haters. Really, really, remember that. You do what you like to do and keep doing it. If, for example, you like to do something like perform in front of people and you get heckled know that it's because of YOUR STRENGTH that you're there to begin with.

4. Discover what provides you joy in your life and pursue it.

5. Set goals and attain them.
