How do you know he has zero problems, did he tell you so?
Did you ask him before you mutilated him if he wanted the procedure done? You should be ashamed for encouraging anyone to mutilate their cat.

Don't be a douchebag.

My cat is a wonderful fun-loving cat that I rescued from starvation after he was abandoned by his original owners. He could not survive as a feral cat because he had been raised indoors his whole life and was starving to death.

He came up to me in a cemetery and begged me to help him. So, of course, I took him home and took care of him. When I got him, he had fleas, tapeworms, and even though mostly grown, he was only 5 pounds when he was supposed to be 8.

Now he has a loving family and even though he does not have claws, he does great. He has never shown signs of tenderness or favoring of his paws after the first week that it was done and he USES those little paws like fingers, so yeah, I have the experience to say that he was fine and always will be.

Piss off. You jumped into the thread encouraging the OP to do something horrible to her cat. Your cat would have been better off, in every way, had he been allowed, as nature intended, to keep his claws. There is no debating that, so don't try.

You piss off. OP had broached the subject, everyone on here started treating her like a criminal, and I simply said do what you want and shared my experience. Further, my cat would not have been allowed to live at my place with claws, so yeah, the option of starving to death with a belly full of painful parasites is not as good as a week of sore feet and a long life with good toys, fun people, and good cat food.

So why don't you just go and weep in the corner, dipshit.

You came onto the thread and encouraged her to mutilate her cat, that's the simple truth. If after reading this thread you still think declawing is a good idea than you are just being willfully ignorent. Cats are notorious for not being able to communicate their pain, you might want to keep that in mind when evaluating what effect the procedure may have had on your cat.
