Here's a link for all sunwatchers:

[link to www.lmsal.com]

On it you'll see the latest flares and which sunspots sent them out, complete with duration and diagrams of the sun.

Often there is a delay before the latest flares show up.

Looks like the flares are coming from sunspot 1750, although the m class isn't listed yet.

174 is stareing us down ad is rated for X Flares. We would take a direct hit from that one.

What about 1750. Are we in line to carch some of this. 5 in a row could build into somthing if we now took an X Flare.

It's on the chart. Now 7 C class and one M - M starts at the line between the C's and the M section.

Two more flares since I posted this. Going to update the title.

It just hasn't updated yet. It Will. Better hope 1748 doesn't decide to join in on the fun. Beta Gamma for X Flares.

Re: Sun Active - 6 C class flares and an M Class, new series from 1748
Active pattern continues on overnight and last 2 flares are M 1/8 and 1.7 only 31 minutes apart.
Looks like one double-peak M flare on the N3KL chart and the flaring continues - possibly 3 C's after that but the last one may not be through going up. The last C flares aren't yet recorded on the lmsal site.

This type of recurring action is what made the Carrington event notable. Let's keep an eye on. May be time to unplug the electrics soon. Nothing of concern yet

The sunspot that set those last flares off isn't yet listed. Don't know if incoming or not.

Re: Sun Active - 6 C class flares and an M Class, new series from 1748
Last 5 ID'ed flares are from sunspot 1748.

Bump to keep an eye on these.

Those M1's were from the sunspot off on the left edge of the sun chart. The rest are 1748 displaying. Looks like a good day for a series of earth-directed and effecting flares.

Watch on.
