It is a certainty that Lois Lerner belongs in a federal prison.

But this ENTIRE administration is corrupt, vile, immoral, unethical, and UN-American.

well, it may not be entirely her fault: the entire IRS has always been a totally sleazebag operation.

I Want HER ASS ARRESTED IF SHE PLEAS THE 5th.

The 5th is a protection you have IF you have broken the law.

Her taking the 5th IS AN ADMISSION OF GUILT!

Taking the fifth is for anytime. My lawyer told me always take the fifth when being questioned by the police. They will use info against you. Taking the fifth is not only for guilty people.

But it certainly makes one LOOK as though they're associated with some criminal activity, doesn't it? Could things escalate from reasonable suspicion to probable cause?

The reality is most politicians are immune to the Saturnian legal system which has granted them 'liberty' from itself. But lesser minions? Hmmmm... They're the fall folks.

One question I have is ... WHY would some underlings at the IRS

go out of their way to target any particular group of individuals

when that type of blatant abuse of power and authority could cost

them their job ?

This whole affair stinks to high heaven .

The only credible explanation is that these workers WERE INSTRUCTED

to target conservative groups for abusive treatment BY THEIR SUPERIORS

after THOSE persons were instructed by THOSE AT THE VERY TOP !!!

this is all too simple:

Impeach Obama Now!

then send him to the U.S. Senate where he will be Found Guilty.

and then put him on a greyhound bus back to Chicago.

Obama administration has subverted the IRS for political advantage in

the presidential election cycle. This is violation of federal law and

abridges the right to free speech. These conservative groups who were

unfairly singled out have a case for a complaint of denial of their

CIVIL RIGHTS !!!

"Beginning in March 2010, the IRS engaged in an unprecedented campaign of harassment against conservative groups, either through denials or delays in approving their tax-exempt-status applications, or through endless and burdensome audits.

In notable contrast, liberal and "progressive" organizations got approvals with remarkable speed. The most conspicuous example involves the Barack H. Obama Foundation, which was approved as tax exempt within a month by the then-head of the IRS tax-exempt branch, Lois Lerner. From media reports and firsthand accounts, we also know that the IRS disproportionately audited donors to conservative causes and leaked confidential tax information concerning conservative groups in violation of federal law.

This IRS politicization is not an isolated problem. It is an inevitable result of the broader efforts to regulate and, in fact, suppress political speech."

Top IRS official will invoke the Fifth Amendment in congressional hearing about tea party targeting program

The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday afternoon that Lois Lerner, who heads up the Internal Revenue Service's tax-exempt division, plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in a hearing Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Affairs.
The Fifth Amendment provides that U.S. citizens may not be compelled to offer testimony if telling the truth would incriminate them.
Lerner's defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III, wrote to the committee on Tuesday that his client would refuse to answer questions related to what she knew about the extra levels of scrutiny applied to conservative nonprofit organizations that applied for tax-exempt status beginning in 2010.

Lois Lerner heads the IRS's Exempt Organizations division. Her lawyer says she will plead the Fifth Amendment on Wednesday to avoid answering questions about her agency's tea party scandal during a congressional hearing

IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C. is fast becoming the epicenter of the tea party probe, despite an Inspector General report that focused on employees in Cincinnati, Ohio
She also will decline to say why she didn’t disclose what she knew to Congress, according to the LA Times.

If you have knowingly participated in public affairs and committed an act of crime, then you have the constitutional right to invoke the fifth amendment my friend, just as any US citizen has the right to bear arms under the 2nd amendment.

However, in doing so, said person should at the same time, step down from their position of privilege and have no more further opportunity to work in the public sector, suggestng that either academia, or the private sector should embrace it's latest fallen angel (no doubt revering that person as a hero/martyr, until such time as the entire house of cards collapses)......

The mere resignation from public office should quell thine beating heart, and, under the constitutional oath which ye have taken, -ye are bound, and shall accept - neigh, be held accountable, for the safe passage and transit of that individual, group, institution or society, which you so vehemently abhorr, until they dost reach their place of sanctuary - lest you mock the right of every god fearing american that stands aside ye and the contract which you agreed to upheld....

"Republicans blast IRS for keeping scandal quiet, seek names of those responsible

Published May 17, 2013 | FoxNews.com

Republican lawmakers accused IRS officials Friday of "lying" to members of Congress about the targeting of conservative groups, as they grilled the outgoing commissioner in the first hearing on the scandal. They also got no answers as they sought the names of those responsible.

Lawmakers repeatedly confronted Steven Miller -- the acting commissioner ousted from him job earlier this week -- about his and other officials' failure to disclose the program last year despite being aware of it.

"In fact, we were repeatedly told no such targeting was happening. That isn't being misled, that's lying," said Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.
Yet Miller seemed to frustrate lawmakers' attempts to dig deeper. He claimed, a week after the scandal broke and a year after he first learned of the practice, that he still did not know who was responsible.

"I don't have that name," he testified, after Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Wash., asked who was behind the program. Reichert accused Miller of being "uncooperative during this hearing."
