My wife comes from a real close family. 2 years ago her daddy had a stroke, and then 1 year ago he had a second one.

Long story short, her mother couldnt take it any more (the changes, him being different, mean, slow acting, all the stuff that comes along with strokes) and she packed up and just left.

My wife just started an internship for medical asst. school and right now i dont want to disturb her. i feel so bad for her because she is going to be so upset.

This also is going to cause lots of different things to happen, who is going to look after him?

I'm so depressed about this. anyone ever experience anything similiar?

:(

Does he get any kind of income? i.e. disability, ss,...

It might be a good ideal to go over as a family and talk with him about putting him into an Assistant Living Facility.

It's hard, but the same thing happened in our family and we had no choice. Just find a NICE FACILTY FOR HIM, AND VISIT HIM AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN?
