Suspected Plate Fracture In Cali/Oregon: Insiders Reportedly Evacuating West Coast Cities
After fifty earthquakes struck Northern California in the last 24 hours, and a massive quake in eastern Russia measuring 8.2 on the Richter scale, reports are emerging that some high profile individuals on the U.S. west coast have begun evacuating their families. Unidentified international dignitaries have likewise been reportedly flown out of the San Francisco area.

The reasoning is that there may be a suspected massive “plate fracture” occurring off of the Oregon/California coast.

Something HUGE is going down….

Just had Two 5.7 earthquakes just north of Sacramento near Lassen Volcanic National Park. Don’t normally post this kind of thing just giving you a heads up…

All I can say is someone was given the word that California is about to get a big one. Moving their family out right now. They are in San Jose. Not someone who would joke around unless they knew something…

I really don’t want to freak anyone out but this is legit info… I’m sorry, just knew when this guy said something that he was worried. He was given the word to move VIPs then told to get out of Cali. Like NOW!

Key dignitaries from SanFran consulates have been flown out.

Suspected plate fractures off Oregon, Cali coast. A double header. That’s all I know..

California State Geologist Comments On California Quake And Plate Movement

California State geologist John Parrish has looked closely at the earthquake that was felt over a wide area of California yesterday.

“It was a moderately strong earthquake, a 5.7, so there was some energy behind it,”He said. “And one reason we felt it here is that those earthquake waves get into the Sacramento Valley, which is a lot of soft sediment that tends to magnify the earthquake waves. Those waves travel in the basin, and then they can’t get out. They echo back and forth underground. As California tends to be moving southward relative to the Pacific plate moving northward, this rubbing against each other creates stress in the ground, and every once in a while, those stresses are relieved along a crack, which is a fault. We don’t think this earthquake has anything to do with ground magma that would be underneath Lassen and create tremors up there,”

The epicentre of the quake was some 30 miles from Mount Lassen, which is considered to be an active volcano.

Pacific Gas and Electric said that some 660 customers lost power in the Lake Almanor area and some homes sustained minor damage such as cracked plaster and collapsed chimneys. Fractured water pipes has left people with a boil water advisory until at least Monday.

California sits between the San Andreas Fault and the Cascadia Fault line with many more minor faults snaking off across the area. We know from past experience that an uptick in the size of earthquakes can be a precursor of bigger things to come. Japan had days of earthquakes averaging 5 magnitude before the 9 that caused not only damage in its own right but due to the tsunami it caused.

Similarly the Indonesian quake was preceded by days of smaller quakes before the big one hit killing hundreds of thousands of people.

Geologists hope that the continual release of small amounts of stress along the faults will prevent a major build up of pressure that results in longer lengths of the fault slipping, causing a much larger earthquake.

There are quiet evacs being done. But it's in preperation of the POTENTIAL of a 'big one'. The real issue with earth quakes though isn't a a big one.

It's the hundreds of little ones shaking the foundation pebble by pebble.

Stay safe. I understand India is having issues as well, not earth quake though. Anything a Canuck do to help out? Other than cut down my carbon foot print.

Didn't think there was city water outside of Susanville. Lassen blew in early 1900's first time an eruption was filmed. There are rocks from it over one hundred miles away.
Don't think Lassen is connected to the coast..

Says who?

I can type "A cult of radioactive talking ocelots are reportedly plotting to corner the pork belly market" into a computer but that doesn't make it so.

LISTEN OP....

I've been on the forum board for over 10-days
straight watching for "unusual news" because of
my own intuition and because of several other
sources that gave me pause to think something
"BIG" was in the offing.

You are flying the flag of India in your AVATAR
OP--and you wouldn't be accused of inciting
a public panic if you revealed something as important
as this...which is why I give it more weight.
PLEASE GIVE US SOME VERIFIABLE INFO so that we
can find out if this is going on. If the
Cascadia Subduction Zone or the SanAndreas Fault
is about to bust loose and you have some
credible "INFORMATION"--PLEASE don't just throw
up this thread and leave us scratching our heads!

We need some links or something that adds to
your credibility! Please and thanks!!
Cheers!

Dude, India rules...it must- why else would all the telemarketing offices be there?

I don't think it's much to worry about- OP you should relax and have a beer and a burger with fries.

Maybe a New York strip steak on the grill...
