imho, too much money is being spent on the likes of HIV/AIDS research vs. other diseases and life threatening infections.

if your husband said he wanted her to go and so forth, then i think that is a great way for your daughter to honor her Dad, even though it may be difficult. we are commanded to honor our parents, so if she keeps that in her mind while she is away, i think that will give her peace. her grieving process will take plenty of time. i don't think you ever get over the loss of a parent. i haven't and others i know have not either....it stays with you the rest of your life.

fwiw - i think doing what would honor her Dad is the best thing to do.
