There is no safe havens right now. The safest is, IMO, PMs, and short term they may inflict some pain.

Silver seems better than gold to me, only because silver is being used up (technology, industry) whereas gold does not really get used. Over many years, there will not be much silver left, the cost to mine it will continue to go up as they extract all the easy to get to ore.

Realize though that a bet on PMs is a bet against TPTB. They will try to do what they can to keep the price down until they can't. Keeping gold and silver down will keep faith in the dollar. This may last a while.
