Breaking: Chinese hackers access major weapons systems | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 26578528 ![]() 05/28/2013 11:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They can also devise battle plans and invasion strategies based upon accurate knowledge of missile defense systems, and the capabilities of even the latest F35 fighters. Its a total game changer, the chinese have practically won the war. Unless we hack into the designs of every major Chinese weapon system as well as the designs of every next generation chinese weapon system. If this were during war time, it would without doubt change the course of the entire war, and give china an unprecedented advantage. Well i guess all the dumbing down of America to keep everyone obedient and submissive, finally backfired. China is coming! |

I don't remember the specific details but there were threads about it at the time. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3540658 it was made in china dude |
Saddletramp User ID: 739427 ![]() 05/28/2013 11:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Man if any of you think that the defense system is on a open internet connection, you need to be hit in the head with a tack hammer. U.S. government uses intranet not the internet. This is bullshit false flag reporting at its best. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35366372 I hope it is on a closed system but doesn't change the fact it can still be hacked. Just like that guy who hacked into the Pentagon with a blank username and password. Yes and how many years ago was that? 15 or 20? lol. The Network doesn't matter, DoD still uses "Wireless" communications...meaning, it can be hacked. Anonymous Coward User ID: 26578528 ![]() 05/28/2013 11:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Highly doubtful you will see a torrent of the designs. Not that torrents would be used to distribute such material anyway. This stuff will be kept most likely under more cyber security than it was when kept in the USA. It will be stored in the most secure computer systems that the chinese possess. Because of the potentially military advantage it gives China, over the entire world. They wont be giving it away to any old rogue nation. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 40520245 ![]() 05/28/2013 11:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you people think for one second our military secrets aren't on self contained unhackable networks you are dumber than the people pushing these stories. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15292827 This is kind of what I was thinking. I would imagine even lower level countries are keeping their MIC related stuff on self-contained networks. Although, inside men would still be able to compromise data -- much in the way the US attacked that Iranian nuclear facility by having someone upload the virus from the inside. |

Who's to say he might have tapped an American invasion plan and he's leveling the playing field. I'm just poking fun at our government. Yea it's a BS story, so they can say they need to regulate the internet more. This will be done by servers provider tracking all access. Anonymous Coward User ID: 26450444 ![]() 05/28/2013 11:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The only way to combat such a loss now is for the USA to radically overhaul its cyber security to make sure it cant happen again, And to invest unprecedented money into redesigning new weapons systems that make each and every weapon that was stolen, obsolete. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26578528 That would mean totally militarizing the country, spending as much GDP on military as countries like North Korea. Guess we have to trash all our current weapons systems and spend gazillions of dollars building new ones. Used to be actual war would clean inventory for the defense contractors. Sorry homeless and hungry children. You're still under sequester. Lockheed gets front of the line. |

This is called "planned obsolescence" The defense contractors are happy as pie. Maybe they even rigged it. The only strategic loss is all that money to build new systems instead of investing in our country. Our war with China is purely financial. Weapons systems are irrelevant. |
