St. Augustine FL, Strangest place in America?
There are strange things that happen in st augustine.

there are 3 pyramids built by the masons, that are on the exact longitude of the great pyramids of giza. There is also a gravitational anomaly in st augustine. Some sort of vortex, it is measurable and documented.

I think there is some creepy stuff going on there, when i was there, i had the feeling there was something sinister about it.

Does anyone have any info on this?

The lighthouse there is haunted also. I know many people who have visited and all confirm weird things happening there.

Cool, I've been there a few times, and took two ghost tours.

As far as the pyramids, you mean the ones in that fenced off cemetery that's federal property? I've seen those. If not, which ones? I've visited St. Augustine and always had a great time. I know I've felt something strange about that place, but not necessarily bad.

Oh ok, just saw this, very cool. I've been to that cemetery. I was wondering if these were the pyramids OP was referring to.

I did a paranormal investigation at the lighthouse. Heard someone running around at the top of the light house. I also heard a woman crying at the top of the stairs.

St. Augustine is very active with paranormal activity.

Yeah, it has the most awesome French pastry place in the whole country, in old town. Went there for YEARS.

Nothing sinister about that at all...the daughter that worked there was a French hottie back in the day too.

Isn't St. Augustine also the place of the oldest Catholic church (Cathedral?), in the US?

About ten years ago a very odd thing happened at the Catholic church located by the bay. It is a mission complex with park, graveyard, and bookstore. While some lady was praying alone in the chruch, she heard a horrible noise, the floor tiles in the center isle popped up from the floor. No explanation was ever given. The story was in the local newspaper.

I used to live in Gainesville too and loved my day trips to St. Aug. I miss living in that area.

I want to go back and check out all these places now mentioned in this thread. Been to some, but not quite looking for energetic anomalies (except for the ghost tours of course).

Could be the reason the early settlers "happened upon" that area in the first place.

New Orleans is on that parallel as well with St. Augustine and Giza, it's a seriously masonic town with strategically placed monuments, and the feeling is similar as well.

I'm a Floridian and I would have to agree. Sometimes in a good way, though.
But yeah, unless you wanna see rude people, don't come to Miami. It's beautiful but full of assholes. I can't wait 'til hubby retires so we can GTFO. North Florida is lovely though, very nice people. More of that southern hospitality.

It is an interesting place for sure. They certainly have the most ghosts of any place in Florida. Ones from all over the world, many of them in Ripleys or the Fort. Little Big Horn graveyard had strong vibes too.

Watch Local Haunts on 17 in Jax or view the episodes on your pc. One show they were at the lighthouse. The spirits were planning on throwing them down the stairs.

I used to go there all the time when I lived in Jacksonville. I really love it so much, wish I could live there.

The San Marco fortress is pretty cool...the whole area just has a vibe about it.

I took one ghost tour, did you get the story about the Cardinal that died and they didn't want his body to decompose (this was before embalming) so they put him in a glass casket.

After all of the dignitaries arrived and everyone was seated for mass he exploded spraying the first few rows with bits of Cardinal.

I guess it was airtight so the buildup of gases from his body made the casket explode.

Off topic a bit but it's a part of the wacky, creepy history of St. Augustine.
